It seems to me that by dabbing and then brushing, that you're not applying enough polyurethane. Most finishes need a little bit of thickness to them to be "self-leveling" and therefore produce a smoother finish. On your respirator/filters, usually the cartridges are kept in a zip-lock bag to extend their life, but I don't think a loose plastic bag like that is going to do anything. Hope your project comes out well!

Day before I launched from bank, because there was a line of enthusiasts to the fancy launch.
Those Fernco couplings with the hose clamps are great. They're a tremendous help when replacing rusted out cast iron or galvanized drain lines with PVC. I didn't follow why you used the paper towel for the inside of the threaded adapter, instead of the brush in the can? When making up those PVC joints, prime both sides, there is no rush, but when you go to apply the glue, you should work more quickly. Insert and 1/4 turn until the fitting bottoms and then jus hold pressure to keep the pipe from backing out of the fitting. On larger sizes, 3" and 4", the speed is essential. Good job Adam!! Glad you have this project out of the way before the heavy rains come.

This is my big copter - TREX 700. It's main blades are about 700 mm long.

...another suggestion, make an under the body mount for your camera and it could be as simple as extending the landing skis to raise it up. Lightweight that could be easily clipped on/off to the skis.
Looks like you should find a used sled or tobaggan to haul you heli gear...
