*Hi, Please check your email.*
Hi there, my name is Rose - and I am now realizing after being here on this planet for 54 years, that this is my vision - to be a play therapist. However, I am just beginning this "assessment" journey - and to hear Marie Jose right away say it is "a light" journey for her, is so encouraging to me. Wow, what amazing insight! Yes, totally agree about the "closure" - it is what I have yet to experience....and I am so frustrated without it.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences.
Brilliant! ❤
Qué tal! Dónde puedo conseguir su libro en español? 🫶🏼
Yes, here is the link to the book in Spanish: www.amazon.com/Agresividad-Terapia-Juego-Neurobiologico-Integracion/dp/1736873105/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=lisa+dion&qid=1621138754&s=books&sr=1-2
I love this….. I wish I would have had someone bring up play therapy when I was a kid. I especially as a kid but it will be my entire life, have to have invasive urology/bowel/bladder medical stuff. Not being able to talk about it until now almost 40 years old has made the topic of sex very weird, confusing and traumatic kinda.
This is awesome! I can relate to the medical trauma and sexual trauma being confusing. I have so much medical trauma that I’m trying to work through and understand.
Where can I find a copy of the attachment model?
You can find it here under the Podcast Resources section: synergeticplaytherapy.com/137-duey-freeman-working-with-attachment-from-the-lens-of-equine-assisted-therapy/
Thank you for sharing this! I am glad to come across this episode at such an appropriate time. 💛
Oh this is helpful! I found myself in a similar situation today. It was so uncomfortable for me because I had thought that the client has called to ask me some business related question but he went all the way up asking me personal questions, and he even started giving me a lecture as to how I should be doing things in life. I was like whaaaaaaaat!? I don't want a lecture, ask me a business related question pleasums!!🙄🤣 Dude coulda just signed the damn contract and kept it professional, geez people really don't know how to keep things professional man😅😂
So important to talk about!
Mam how to coreect my breathing and fear
Yes!!
Sorry, but I completely disagree. As a child, I was very perfectionistic, and it was treated as a good thing and encouraged. However, now that I’m in my 20s, I’ve been dealing with many difficulties related to something that could have been addressed much earlier. Perfectionism is closely tied to a deep fear of failure, and if a child already experiences this fear over things with little consequence when done poorly, imagine how they’ll feel when life becomes more serious and the outcomes of their actions start shaping their future and career. For me, now even simple, everyday tasks, can bring me anxiety and it have been challenging to accomplish. So, basically, if you’re a parent to a child that is showing these traits I would heavily recommend to work on it now.
I will like to know where do I get services for my son's gestalt because he has a speech therapist at home and a behavioral therapist I need to find someone that is an expert with this condition please help iam in ny
☺ You can check out our list of therapists by location here: synergeticplaytherapy.com/find-synergetic-play-therapist/
Thank you for clarifying and differentiating these elements. Am area I need to get more educated on.
I am curious how this could be introduced to those entangled with NPD
Great for personal relationships too.
Masking in itself was an abominable act of sheer stupidity. Masking deaf people was nothing less than CRIMINAL.
I will be taking an Adlerian play therapy course in the next couple of weeks. I enjoyed this video and look forward to learning more during the course.
Was telling a psychologist about sexual abuse when i was a kid when i noticed he had an erection. He turned around in his chair to hide his erection and told me the appointment was over to find my way out of the clinic. He never did explain about Countertransferrence or somatic experiencing to me . The fact that i meet his friends he spoke of after he fired me as a patient was very confusing and hurtful considering what they did to me.That was more than 10 years ago
Complimenti per l'ottimo lavoro!

If you are going to post these on TH-cam, please videotape your podcast. Staring at a still image for 30 minutes was unpleasant for me. Otherwise, this is good information.
Ah yes, thank you. Our podcast episodes with guests have a video option. For these audio-only episodes, you might find it a more enjoyable experience to listen on Apple Podcast, Spotify, Audible, or wherever you listen to your podcasts :)

Always the most interesting discussion, thank you Lisa!
Estará la versión en español ?
We don't have a Spanish version of the podcast at this time. We are working to find ways to offer translation in our courses, but perhaps the podcast will at some point. As an option, TH-cam now offers translation through subtitles :)
Beautiful! Today was a day of feeling the pressure of the “shoulds” of doing rather than being…this is confirming and much needed. So glad I chose the being!
I just purchased the book, and I am excited to start reading it. I will comment after I've read it.
The flow between the fight/flight and freeze/fawn. Comfortably, uncomfortable. I like that. Good to know that's where the safety is. I feel that. I can be resilient and grounded at the same time. I had therapists that could not do this. They would put me too much in comfort or too much in processing. One would stop me from processing in our therapy session if she felt if was too much. I went home feeling like shit and believing I couldn't handle myself. I had another that would either dive me deep into processing and not have casual talks about daily stuff that was bothering me like my marriage.
Hello! Is there a Spanish video that explains this wonderful process?
Great question. There is not at this time, but something we're continuing to explore.
Watching this for a graduate course! Thanks!
perfect to listen to alongside my studies.
This was so neat to watch!
Thank you! Can you talk more about regulation .. specifically how does it happen through the use of sand.
That's a great topic! It's what I teach in our Introduction to Synergetic Play Therapy program at length. If you're interested, you can learn more about the course here: synergeticplaytherapy.synergeticplaytherapy.com/introduction-to-synergetic-play-therapy
@@lisadion-synergeticplaytherapy thank you! I certainly will check it out.
I’m trying to learn how I could use sandtray to work with adults suffering from addiction and PTSD . I’m in grad school and lean more CBT but I love this method
This is a great episode Lisa. Thank you.
You wasted people time. Because you dont show how we separate them
Thanks for the feedback :)
Thank you for your video. Collective nervous system is an interesting concept. While listening about it, i remembered autism spectrum disorder. Regulation of family nervous system can be helpful autistic kids as well? ( And I'm not native speaker of English. I couldn't understand the word dorsal.)
Great insights Lisa. Also gotta say that's one of my favorite paintings behind you.
Hola
I love the way you explain this. I wish I had animations to go with it for parents!
That's an important point. Unfortunately, many adults often overlook the fact that empathizing with children and actually understanding them is so much different from those with adults. That's why there are a lot of "professionals" working with children, who fail to even connect with the child in the first place.
Wow, Super, Thanks!
Thank you so much dear Lisa for this great video with a great person.
Thanks for sharing IFS with the world!
Thank you
