I recall 25 years ago, while in junior college, i described myself as a Westerner to one of my instructors. I reconciled with that a long time ago. It took me a while to Embrace Ivan Van Certimas doctrine of Our history in America, but i do. I realized ten years ago that Pan African ism was dead. I learned 15 years ago when i got a passport that our older generation was not enforcing good cultural habits.
