I love Fields. We revitalized his career in less than half a season. There should be the following: No love loss from either side. Kyle Allen is the 2, in a new pass/run versatile offense. The QB thing is thing is a dilemma. When the Bears trades JF I thought it was a questionable move as Fields was playing his best ball and gave the Bears a chance to win 10 games. The Bears as I expected are in disarray and would be luck to win 6 games this year after winning 7 in 2023. To me it was obvious the Bears should build the o line and keep Fields. The Steelers conundrum is not that obvious. It would be great to keep JF and RW but financially that may not be sustainable unless one of them is willing to take less money. Both of them would also like to be starters. I could see Fields going to the Colts which would be a great fit for JF. My disappointment would be in I have really enjoyed following the Steelers this year. I trust Tomlin and believe whatever he decides will be the best decision for the Steelers. Regardless of what happens I will now be a Steelers fan for life. Great team, culture and fans.

Fields was scared to air it out or make a mistake because he didn't want to lose the starting position. Russ had nothing to lose and was willing to their moon balls regardless of the consequences. Fields hopefully will be with us for the next 10 to 15 years. Dude is super talented and a crazy athlete! I hope he stays!

I definitely would do all i can to resign Fields. Like you said he showed signs of tremendous improvement and Wilson being the age he is, who knows how much more does he have in the tank. But if i was Fields i would way my options if teams gave him the opportunity to start some place else. That's just football.
