Bill Nelson is the best guitarist I have ever heard. A genius on the guitar and songwriting.
Excellent!
I got that box sealed for $4 at my local Goodwill, has a promo slash through the upc, but for less than a fiver, I'll deal with it. I still need to find an open block to listen to it from stem to stern.
I can get this CD box for $40 Or the 10 LP for 80. Is this worth investing in the 10 lp for? Or would you stick to the CDs? I don’t know how much they were originally
The 12 CD box set is the most complete one. The 10 LP does not include the comedy routines (material from the Summit Club and other additional recordings found on the 12 CD box). The 10 LP is the Complete Wattstax Concert while the 12 CD box is the Complete Wattstax Collection. There is also a 6 CD set also called The Complete Wattstax Concert
We need a room tour!!
Perfect band, great unboxing! Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by.
@@jamiecottle5850 Always a pleasure!
Great band! Bill Nelson such a fantastic guitarist. Have all their studio stuff. Greetings from 🇬🇧🏴
I agree. A terrific band. Thanks for watching.
Hi Jamie. I went to the Edinburgh gig of that tour. But they didn’t record it. Have original. The white vinyl and a promo copy. I bought the recent 3lp vinyl version recently.
That is so cool!
I have all their boxset exept Live In The Air Age.I aways thought they belonged in the same catagory as Bowie and T Rex.I also have Bill Nelson's Red Noise which is really good
I would agree Thomas. They are more glam than prog.
6:18 What's the name of the he album and what does the back side look like? It's the CD you have put down. It has an astronaut in the gatefold. You did not show the back.
Sorry about that. It's Extraterrestrial Live. The track list printing on the back is incredibly small. Tracks: 1 Dominance And Submission 5:43 2 Cities On Flame 5:10 3 Dr. Music 3:27 4 The Red And The Black 4:22 5 Joan Crawford 5:13 6 Burnin' For You 4:43 7 Roadhouse Blues 9:01 8 Black Blade 6:09 9 Hot Rails To Hell 4:46 10 Godzilla 6:00 11 Veteran Of The Psychic Wars 7:56 12 E. T. I. (Extra Terrestrial Intelligence) 5:07 13 (Don't Fear) The Reaper 6:19
Well done, sir. I didn’t catch this, but why do you think there is a picture from the Relayer tour? Definitely Moraz on keyboard…
I love these two sets. I hope they keep going with Close to the Edge and Relayer, but they just did Relayer on the Rhino High Fidelity series so maybe that one is not in the cards.
Hi Brian. It will be interesting to see if there will be more Yes reissues like this.
an unboxxxxxxZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...ing......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Love your beard!! I have both of them!! And i love it!!💛💛.. Love from Sweden!!🖤❤️😋!!!
Thank you. Thanks for commenting.
Nice box set editions my beard buddy! Thanks for sharing. Jamie!!!!
Thanks for dropping by.
Nice boxset presentation Jamie; you have a lot to listen to….enjoy!
Thanks Christopher.
Nice look with the beard my friend! Are you ready for the 27 CD box set of the 1974 Dylan and the Band Tour. Mine is ordered along with the new Kevin Ayers 9 CD / Blu-ray set due in October
Hi Mark. Yes I am looking forward to the Dylan/Band box. Hadn't heard about the Kevin Ayers box. Thanks for letting me know.
Look at you! Rocking the beard Jamie! 🤘 Those YES box sets look amazing. Steven Wilson does such a great job. I'm sure they sound phenomenal.
Thanks Christian. Yes haven't had a beard in a long time. Lot more salt than pepper these days lol.
On the hype sticker it says new SW mixes Jamie
Exellent presentation Jamie.I have both of these love Yes since 1971.Seen them over 25 times
Great to hear, Thomas. Wow, over 25 times. Which one was your favourite concert?
@@jamiecottle5850 The first one was great 1972 picked up CTTE two weeks before.Gentle Giant backed them up and the 3rd band were The Eagles ticked price $2.50 lol.But every show had it's moments.Saw them in quad, saw them in the round.
Cheers 🍻
Hey Jamie! Hope you enjoyed your stay in Montreal. I haven't been to Beatnick's in quite a while... The Jazz Festival is always cool to attend 🙂
Hi Eve. Really great to hear from you. Hope you are doing alright. Yes, Montreal was fun as always.
I wouldn't let you anywhere near my vinyl if that's how you treat it😢
Sounds like a great trip, Jamie. Beatnick is a neat little store. Great Smiths find! Was there once years ago. Our jazz fest is this w/e. Slipping over tmrw night with friends for some sounds and over-priced beer. Happy weekend! Cheers
Hope you enjoy it this weekend. Looks like decent weather.
Hello Jamie; Enjoying the smooth sounds of summer at the Jazz fest. A trip to the record store with finds by 38 Special, Ray Thomas, Smiths, Sweeny Todd, & the Move. Sounds like you had a good time listening to CD's during the ride. Take care, Tina & Pat!~
Thanks Tina and Pat. We had a nice time in Montreal.
What about the music?
Looks interesting, a must order. I was called Zappa in school actually....
You found some excellent music. I didn’t know about Sweeney Todd and Bryan Adams. On an 8 hour trip home my wife found summer road trip music on Spotify(no cd player). To keep me awake. It worked. We sang the whole way home. It was great
Thanks Tony. Yes we are old school with CDs for the car ride. Thanks for dropping by.
Blue Oyster Cult is my favorite Band of all time Thanks Dude
Janis Joplin was very happy with the full tilt Boogy band .. John till was one of the best guitarists.. he was right up there with The Best of the Best..😊
Great set just the best 👍👍!!!
His best album. That's where he peaked!
Uhhhmuhh, sadly you seem to be tryin your best here but I'd like to know if the CDs and/or if the Blu-ray is in a surround format? 😮 ❤
For tbe blu-ray Orginal Album Mix along with Early Ziggy Stardust album tracklisting, The Singles and Outtakes and Alternate Versions are all 96khz/24bit PCM Stereo while The Rise of. ..and Extras is a 2003 5.1 Mixes (DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 - 96khz/24 bit)
I love the Divine Symmetry.Have this box haven't opened it yet.
Fantastic Box set. Got mine. Love it. Can never have enough Bowie. Thanks for sharing.
Another great David Bowie box set, after the also great "Divine Symmetry" set. The big books are really nice in those two sets. CD 5 is the highlight, with many bonus tracks from the "Ziggy Stardust" era. Both sets have really good BBC radio sessions. Unfortunately, that ends with this set.
I wonder if that back cover lyric reference ties in with Lou Reeds Transformer which Bowie produced around the same time?
It's a lyric from the song "Star" on the "Ziggy Stardust" album.
R.I.P. TOM FOWLER 🙏
im picking mine up tomorrow from the local music shop thanks for sharing
Enjoy!
Is it me or does this sound like a studio recording or a band jam in their basement with no audience except maybe their friends no crowd noise or live excitement??!!!
you keep calling it a re-issue, but it can't be a re-issue if it's never been released before, it's a new release.
Yes, good point.
Hello Jamie; The Mothers live at the Whiskey 1968, one for the ages. A little more progressive than Johnny Rivers for sure. Nice 3 cd set with an informative booklet with photos & liner notes written by Frank's former house/babysitter Ms.Pamela. Enjoy the show. Take care, Tina & Pat!~
Thanks Tina and Pat. I didn't know that about Pamela. Great trivia.
Hey Jamie. Looking forward to hearing this. Still haven’t opened it since getting it the day it was released.
Time to open it!
Love The Mothers. Great unboxing Jamie. Hope you enjoy
Thanks Robert.
Just got my copy and your correct most of any 60's recordings are rare. I will surly enjoy this and very interested in "King Kong" track!
Great tune KING KONG
Been waiting for this one a LONG time...A New Day Yesterday absolutely blisters !!!
Nice!
Bore em in the Forum
As a JT fan from * Stand Up; * this was indeed the first live recording .... And what an album it was when played at volume on a quality Hi-Fi .... You were THERE ! This Box-Set certainly looks like one to own ! 🎸🥁🎵🎶
Thanks for the info Johnny.
It’s on my list! Looks very nice. I look forward to getting it and I really hope you enjoy it my friend 😊
Hi Robert. i figured it would be on your list.Yiu and I are pretty in sync would it comes to purchases.
@jamiecottle5850 for sure. Might even be this weekend lol Thank you Jamie
Great video Jamie.I'm picking mine up at my record store on Friday.
Thanks Thomas. Hope you enjoy.
I had never owned or heard this live album and I got this set last Friday and have been enjoying it. I haven’t read any yet or watched the video, but I am looking forward to it. I wonder if Under Wraps’ 40th will hit by year end. I also hope they reissue some more of the out of print sets. I missing a handful still, but they’re too pricey to find.
I agree Brian. An Under Wraps box would be very interesting.
Hi Jaime. Wow I am one of the first to comment. Well this is the best reissue campaign. I have them all... and awaiting this ones arrival. My collection is close to bursting out... pun intended. Chrysalis Parlophone and Ian Anderson deserve all the praise and success. I wonder if they will continue.... hope they do. God bless and enjoy.
Thanks Tino. I agree this has been a great series.
