That's awesome! I bought the tab book but changed a couple parts due to awkward fingerings or missing stuff. Let me know if there's any specific parts you need cleared up!

I play everything over the top of whatever I used as the source in a DAW. So yes, you hear the metronome because I'm playing over the top of that video's audio. If you listen to the two separately, you can distinguish the presence of my guitar.

@@GuitarSaxBassoon also at the end of the clip when you panicked clicked the pause button for Scott’s video you can clearly hear the metronome switch to the bpm of scotts “slow downed run through of the solo”

@@GuitarSaxBassoon another thing you claimed to be playing over that audio but like I said before your schecter would create a significantly noticeable difference i tone , if you were doing what you claim and weren’t shadow playing the solo you would hear Scott’s Ibanez and your joke of guitar called a schecter

@@kawhileonard7731 "I'm playing over the top of that videos audio." Making false claims would be easier if you read. Also I literally have both audio files, so keep it up. As for "panic clicking," I'm literally just stopping my interface recording. Since I overlayed the original, I could've let the audio continue playing for 30 more seconds and it wouldn't change where I stopped recording. Or I could just clip the metronome from the original. Doesn't make a difference.

Yep! It's more commonly used in Math Rock. Basically Dmaj7add9 open chord tuning.

For leads I just used the default with some minor adjustments when tracking, then finalized the settings afterwards in the DAW. I'm still experimenting with a lot of this stuff, so I think I still have too much high frequency noise, but I couldn't get rid of it without making it sound muffled. For the cleans, I just used Nolly's clean preset and did the same thing (also didn't realize how much reverb I accidentally put on the intro until I already exported 😅)
