I felt that BOTH English dub and Japanese Sub voice actors of Escanor did such a phenomenal job. Having the words to gloat and the actions to back it up. And how even in the presence of a demon that is of Truth, Escanor NEVER turned to stone when he fully admitted in Pride that he IS THE STRONGEST. Characters like him are so rare for those abused that sin of pride by boosting about it nonstop and because they never found anyone challenging enough to push the limit have the right to brag. Escanor was TRUE to not just his sin but to his OWN words of statement HE IS THE reason Seven Deadly Sins carried on so well in fights.
