Older Generations used to take care of their issues. If they had a car problem, an issue on their home, something needed built. Men and Women used to take pride in solving the issue themselves, helping a neighbor or friend, or bartering work. On this channel we take Pride in restoring that mentality. My mission is to share information so that Men and Women can once again take Pride fixing their own issues.

@@mac9955 actually it can be done easily with the valve in the wall, also I don’t tell anyone that’s not comfortable making the repair to do it. The point of the video is to get people to stop access the situation and make a decision before they damage the valve. Thanks
The furnace of my Rv is to gas, I want to switch it to electric. Can I do it?
I was about to tear my wall apart 😅😅😅 SAVED MY LIFE! (wife would have killed me) Thanks for the help!
Thanks bud .
thank you soooo much for this,, this is that knowledge that nobody shares and is hard to find,, but its what i needed to fix my truck,,
I and two other people spent most of today attempting to put up Primal's Xtra Wide Deluxe stand. We spent way more time than should be spent much as they did in the video - puzzling over the confusing, inadequate instructions. If you're looking for help in actual figuring out how to put one of these up, this video isn't the place to find it.
My roof is metal, it would likely be same process right?
I heat it with a propane tourch and use never seize
84 room hotel all with the same issue, this video is excellent THANKX
You have to be kidding. Doing what you did in the vice cannot be done in the wall through a small hole at least not with those tools. You will get a hacksaw blade in there but not a hacksaw. Good idea bad demo.
I've twisted the body about 30 degrees before realizing the body was turning not the nut, thinking of trying to twist it back in line so handle is straight down. Like others I didn't know there were small lines directly behind the valve - I was instead watching the copper pipes for sign of movement. Any thoughts? Also have another valve body and trim in case it goes badly. Wondering if a little heat would help preventing the metal from cracking. Anyone else try this?
I was going to tread on you but then I saw your sign. It's a good thing too, I was about to do some serious treading.

Great video man! Hey how is the Dorman Lead frame holding up? Is it worth buying compared to the OEM? Would highly appreciate your reply
thanks for checking out the channel, so far everything since the repair has been great. hope this helps, take care my friend

Looks good!!! There’s a lot of people downing it saying it’s wrong. It works and one thing that you might have done could shut them all up is…. Anchor the 2x6 to the rafters. Not sure if you did but dropping the soffit board and putting some metal clips connecting the 2x6 to the rafters and you’re good. Hope your mother is enjoying it

But there won't be enough room for me to use a saw to cut the ring?
I used a strap wrench. No damage to anything.

I've replaced the cups and springs on my Delta shower faucets a half dozen times during the 20+ years that I have lived in my house and I have never had a problem removing the bonnet/dome nut until now. Well, I got it loose, but I also cracked one of those tubes coming out of the valve body that you are warning everyone about. I sure wish I had seen this video sooner.
Hey bud I'm an engineer for a hotel group and one of our hotels has 118 of these and they are all stuck. Where can I pick up the rings at?

Well said buddy!!
Nice Video...!!! Hey couple questions. 1) How's the water heater coming along? Still functioning? 2) What size of a water reservoir do you have? I just inherited one, and I'm not sure I need such a big one that I have, for only a single person. You have capacity for two people, yes? 3) I like how you used the silver lines coming off the water heater. All those valves and junctions earlier, attached near fitting of water tank, looked like a mess, and extra strain on the water heater outlets. You can run valves off the floor. A little excess water in lines is no biggie. 4) So...what size of keyhole size is that? I guess the water heater destructions will have the size. 16:42 so...a couple more things. 5) The exterior plug, I guess if someone had solar and stuff, they could just cut the cord, and run it into their interior electrical lines. 6) Also, I wonder if using zip ties to hold the flex lines from drooping over the tank, and heading to the floor would put less stress on the top water heater fittings. Again, great video. I'm going to do the same thing, and follow this video to the T. Thank You...!!! Great job!! I have a 1987, and it has all the old school BPA+ lines, and going to upgrade to PEX. Also, they have new PEX fittings called 'PEXLock Clamps' and I guess they're a game changer. You don't need that compression pliers, just normal pliers, AND they can be released, and refastened.
I had it when I was 13. I'm 57 now. Since then I can't take the heat. I hate summer time cuz I feel symptoms from it each year since. I almost died from it. Was in the hospital 26 days. It's not that I don't like summer, it's I haven't liked the heat. I feel hot all the time. Hope all you stay blessed
I have removed at least three of the rings using a strap wrench ( the kind used for removing the oil filter to a vehicle) I find it applys equal pressure to the ring. The strap wrench will keep you from damaging the old or new ring when working on the shower valve. If unsuccessful then I will resort to cutting the ring.
WD40 loosen the nut for me. spray and wait 5 minutes
I think you might have saved me from making a huge mistake. Thank you!
