    They are working on 5 floor. And not counting the 2 basement levels. 7 floor parking structure so far ???

    I didn't know that Long Beach has a Downtown! These building look very much like the buildings built in NYC and many on the northeast! In the city that I grew up, that white brick building with the arches on the ground floor is identical to one in my downtown! I always thought of Long Beach as the harbor, port and the industrial part! Is some of the reason that the building are charging is because of Earthquake requirements?

      Also the earthquake retro fitting on these old structures go back to late 80's early 90's....and yeah we paid for it with a gas tax.

    Our home owners insurance was nonrenewable. So now we are on "California fair plan" it is very expensive but have no choice. No company will insure our area.

    This is what should be going on in CA jobs for locals and building more water storage.. Pump stations, desalantion plants and better forest planning!     Happy New Year from Canada - I'll remember the "reverse masking" technique for future use, straightforward and effective. I have "Model Building With Brass" in my library as well, picked it up a few years ago. Some of the overall approaches described can translate to working in styrene, in particular the idea of viewing complex assemblies as a collection of basic geometric shapes to start with.

    Mr. Florentino, I have admired your build of this dump truck! I consider this a great build of a COE Freightliner dump truck! An early Freightliner COE! Never see a real one up close. But you have built a real scale one, from your photos and videos! AMT should have taken the time to do a series of FL COEs! Weathering is not my " Cup of Tea" ☕, close enough! But you nailed this truck! You took a hard to build kit and showed the it is buildable! And that it has real promise!

      In looking at its contruction...its obviously hand-built, basic brass pieces all solder together. Any wheel sets should work.

      Ed.... Best way to go is to get new open frame original motor or Pittman can motor cannot be beat. Let me know if I can help.
