As in nature is contained infinite information, if you can just analyse it precisely enough, You can draw infinitely better and more information from just observing a simple cloud, than a machine. Combine this with equally good observation experience with all other weather phaenomena as an ensemble, Like the analyse in detail of stuff falling out of clouds or wind patterns while walking across a mountain landscape. So one single observer can be infinitely better than any weather station, especially if he has access to some simple, basic instruments of precision like a good old thetmometer and such. In ancient times most farmers could analyse the coming weather by analyzing the detailed composition of the kind of blue in the sky, they could do perfect previsions even without a cloud or wind. For this, you need to have the eye of a real artist who knows a bit about colors in a very specially sensitive way like a good musicion hears infinitely details in music.
