Yes, the musical arrangement is sublime, and the voices are exsquisite, the lady´s voice absolutely heavenly. This is my daily mantra as I study and meditate following Tendai, Shingon, and Chan/Zen. Whoever made this, I wish I knew your name, and thank you for the precious gift.
Per me si va nella città dolente . Per me si va nell'etterno dolore .per me si va tra la perduta gente ,........lasciate ogni speranza ovoi ch' entrate !👿👹😈😩
I am a bit on the emotional side when it comes to music. I have dozens of different playlists for different moods and activities , as one does. Sometimes I get goosebumps or get a tear or something, sometimes extremely happy or motivated. This piece however made me genuinely terrified to the point where I teared up 3 separate times, and its not even done yet! I am talking eyes being wet but nothing dripping from them, and no running nose. Just pure terror. As someone described in this comment section- "feeling similar to being alone as a child in the middle of a storm". Piece also fits into cosmic horror, existential crisis and many other things. Its just so raw and painful. Similar feeling I only had once when I broke my leg skiing alone on the closed run at 10pm. I was less scared back then rather then listening to this. I don't know if I should keep on describing the intense emotion so I leave you all at that. Good luck out there.
As a beloved spiritual teacher often says, ' Upon the cross, loneliness blows..." Going further, I would say: In this form of life, there is nothing but you and God, or God Himself revealed through His manifold forms, each bearing the burden of the mystery of existence. G.B.Y.
Absolutely beautiful! The fast version is really nice, but the slow one is resonating with me more, it really sounds medieval/archaic.

Musicaço!
I like the second one they recorded (first in this video) the most because the tension between silence and anticipation of the instruments striking (largely the bass) is just incredible. I think what they did there is harder to do, more interesting on a physical (dancing) level as well as cerebral, and reflects well on the skill of the musicians. They are both great though. The second one in the video is more unassuming, simple, and straightforward. I'm glad we have both

Why in the name of all that is holy is this work not performed more often? It is wonderful.
To have access to such an important piece in contemporary music, with an amazing interpretation and magnificiently recorded, is really a blessing. Thank you Internet and TH-cam.

Hello, could you write the titles of the paintings and the names of the artists please?
At the heart of the Christian ideology… this. Mayhem, discordance, contradiction, violence, and a deep desire for death, ironically called eternal life.
What an underrated masterpiece.
Excellent ❤
