I got into dead rising a month ago because I saw one of my fav youtubers play off the record, and played through DR2 then DR3 and then DR1 and even though DR2 was my favourite even after I finished DR1 I came back to play DR3 in coop and this is easily the best DR game of all time for me. Im sad they had to cut many things from it but it's still the best zombie game I ever played.

I've read somewhere (as in, Tvtropes) that Leiji didn't like Mayu one bit. She's an anime-only character, the daughter of Tochiro, and the catalyst of Harlock's love for humanity regardless of its unrequitedness from the Earth government. I think Matsumoto thinks that Harlock finds good in all people regardless of who they are and ONE SINGULAR GIRL shouldn't be the main reason as to why he's defending the Earth. Narratively speaking though, Mayu makes perfect sense, but I completely get where Leiji is coming from.

Of all the songs from this anime, this is the one that always makes me cry. It's so beautiful...

I'm about 15 episodes in and I can kinda see Harlock singing this to Mayu as a lullaby if he ever needed to put her to bed himself. Or maybe something he sang to her when she was a baby.

If you dont know what disappointment in the inadequacy of every living specimen around you is like i do, you'll never understand the hatred i feel for what feels like absolutely nothing. I hate the whining, the caniving, the miserable, the unintelligible thats not in my realm of reality. But I push forward to each year with hope that you're out there waiting to bump into me. Just amazing how hard this hits.

It's been 15 years since I've last watched the series. I was about eight et the time, I think; yet this hit me like a train. Then I remembered the scene, Harlock (Albator in my mother tongue) singing to his ennemies... Powerful memory.

I have always loved this game for it's morality. If you destroy the enemy you have failed, only by freeing Paul of his pain and demons and helping him heal can you get the true ending, brilliant.

Played this game for the first time, i wanted it back when i was kid but family issues and moving around a lot, made my way into this room and found this song and 0 - 100 on the emotional scale 😢
