@@ianmurphy5975 Yes I don’t think he throws the ball up the full 6 inches, but he used to be way worse. I used to challenge the legality of his serves more in the past, but I suppose I’m less likely to call him up when I’m dealing with them and winning. 😊

Good match, very close there at the end. I've watched a few of your matches and I think you'd have won this if you'd attacked more. but I'll guess the reason you didn't was due to a bit of fatigue as you said it was last match of the tournament. Or was it purely tactical to play mostly defensive in this match?

@ I was tired all day that day due to only 3 hours sleep and this was my last match, so yeah lack of energy, but to be fair she attacked well and didn’t give me many clear opportunities to attack. I’ve played her twice before and beaten her both times, but she did play better this time.

@@stevenfreeman7798 yes very very tired. I only had 3 hours sleep the night before, due to my flight being 2.5 hours delayed the day before. I was well below par overall, but did at least manage to win this match.

@ You may be right but I beat him the one time we played before and I had 5 ‘unexpected’ losses yesterday, not just my loss to Lukasz. I had very little energy or motivation. Lukasz lost easily to Mircea in the next round.

@ He beat him few weeks ago in Hereford also in this match he was better player TBH

@@dwaynel3251 hard to explain levels especially if you’re from a different country. I’m ranked 17 in England veterans and I play for the Irish Veterans first team and also the Sussex veterans first team. In England men I’m ranked about 110.

@ Veterans is Over 40, but this competition was open. I did play one woman yesterday, but there are way more men playing than women.

@@regular_loser_5699 Well I use both rubbers on my backhand, but I assume you mean my long pimples rubber, as in this match I mostly used the pimples on my backhand. I use Sauer and Troger Hellfire Ox Red.

@@VinegarTom68 not my weekend, lost all 6 singles and all 3 doubles. It doesn’t take much to go from winning all 6 to losing all 6. Small margins.
