For decades Philippines have IGNORED its military modernization thus turning the country into a military protectorate of the United States! Not a military ally! Philippines MUST put away substantial amount of money to give its services a substantial capability to operate both of n peace time and at war! It’s no brainer that if a typhoon hits the country that Philippines doesn’t have to rely on American black hawks or c130s just to deliver aid to affected areas! As for external defenses?
