Know your enemy | This is why you keep being attacked
Have you ever wondered why certain struggles seem to hit harder or come out of nowhere? The enemy doesn’t play fair, but he’s also predictable-if you know what to watch for. In this episode, we uncover the enemy’s strategies and reveal how you can stay one step ahead. Through Scripture and real-world application, you’ll learn to recognize his attacks, guard your heart, and walk boldly in God’s truth.

Episode Notes:
* 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV): "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."
* Sober-mindedness means staying spiritually aware and avoiding distractions that cloud your connection with God.
* 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NIV): "In order that satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes."
* Knowing the enemy's strategies helps us stand firm and avoid being caught off guard
* James 4:7 (NIV): "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
* Resisting temptation starts with surrendering fully to God.
2. Insights on the Enemy’s Tactics:
* The Roaring Lion: The enemy is compared to a lion because of his strategic, stealthy, and sudden attacks.
* He often targets us during spiritual weakness or isolation.
* Just like a lion stalks its prey, the enemy waits for moments when we let our guard down.
* Masquerades as Light (2 Corinthians 11:14): satan disguises his attacks to appear harmless or even good, making spiritual discernment essential.
3. The Three Temptations (1 John 2:16):
* Lust of the Flesh: Physical desires that conflict with God’s will.
* Lust of the Eyes: Coveting things we don’t have, like wealth or status.
* Pride of Life: Self-reliance and seeking recognition apart from God.
4. Living Wisely and Staying Spiritually Attuned:
* Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV): "Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."
* Avoiding distractions-whether they’re material, emotional, or digital-allows us to hear God more clearly, just as He revealed through moments of stillness in my life. Put on the full armor of God daily.

Loved this ✨🫶🏽 Thank you
Allowing yourself to be a vessel of the Holy Spirit is truly a gift of grace. Through this episode, I was touched and transformed by the anointing in your words, your heart posture, and your authenticity. Your example about staying in the comfort zone was eye-opening! When we don't walk in God's plan, everything may go smoothly-but only up to a certain point. If one is not striving toward the perfection of being a citizen of the Kingdom of God, they will slowly regress and, even unwittingly, begin serving the devil
Lyla - thank you for this message! So glad you are back 🤍
Thank you beautiful sister for this video xx God bless you
lyla, this was a message i NEEDED to listen to. i recently started a new job with a christian organization (which i’ve been praying/ fasting for since january) & i’ve been battling intense spiritual warfare. it’s been getting in the way of my daily tasks & i’ve been trying to get through each day on my own strength & haven’t been going to the Lord like i’m supposed to. i know what i need to do now. thank you so much for your vulnerability, for your words of wisdom & for allowing God to use you. i’m SO happy you’re back! we love you!! 🤍

Thank you Lyla for your obedience. I was just reading Matthew 4 this morning and wondering about the meaning of the lust of the flesh, eyes, and pride of life - so hearing this was so timely! It’s so encouraging to see how God is using your obedience and speaking through you. please don’t stop and remember that you are a blessing and answer to many prayers 🫶🏻🤍
Wow that’s incredible! God is so on time! I’m so thankful for your listen and so incredibly grateful for your kind words. I can’t tell you how much this made my day. God bless you friend! 🥹🤎
Hello Lyla! Thank you for this amazing video! I started my walk earlier this year. At first, I had struggled with processing and understanding the word and feeling God’s presence, so it discouraged me. Over the past couple of months I have made it a goal to start incorporating God in my daily life by listening to worship music, praying more, joining a bible study group, and reading the bible weekly. Prayer has felt more natural to me and I feel the urge to worship him when I am doing my everyday tasks. In such little time, God has really changed me and my life all together. I am so grateful for this journey. I absolutely love your videos and they have helped me since the beginning of my journey. Thank you! God bless you ❤️
hello, your testimony really blesses me. I believe it was no coincidence that I watched this. I'm currently in a hard time. Last month my bf left me for the reason that he felt I was more spiritually mature, he felt unworthy of me, and there was also a reason he felt constantly worry and now he sees me not as a partner but as a sister in Christ. I was so devastated why he left me so easily, but I believed in Jesus, prayed for him so that he would be close to Jesus, all spirits of worry were destroyed. I will fight my disappointment with the love of Jesus
Hi friend! Thank you so much for listening and for sharing this with me. I will absolutely be praying for you. I know just how hard that heart ache can feel, but I know God is so close to you right now and always. You're not alone and I trust that whoever God has for you will lead you closer to Him and give you the love you deserve. Thinking of you and God bless you!
Thankyou so so much ❤😢🥺🙏🏻

I feel safe here I’m going through this.
What if that other person don’t believe in breaks ?
I am literally going through this now and it is so confusing. So heartbreaking
This is so amazing Thank you for being His vessel x
I pray you read this my ex broke up with me back in august for much of the same reasons you both did we were having sex out of marriage drinking and I wasn't anywhere near the position of spiritual leader she was showing me things and messages from the lord and was much farther in her walk but I wasn't the man of god she needed in her life so she had to let me go so god could find me I still fall short till this day but I'm trying more than I ever have but I'm still not ready to have her in my life and I think god used you all's testimony to show me this. I do have a question though should I send her this? we haven't talked since the breakup and a big part of me doesn't want to reach out at all everybody around me is saying not to but I'm still unsure thank you for your testimony.
This is interesting why I shaw this video, because my ex broke up with me like a month ago, because God told him to and for the entire month after I couldn’t understand why God would do that, because we are both Christian , we love each other and we planned on getting married to one another, but after fasting and prayer I realised that God broke us up because we were idolising each other, we were putting each other above the Lord, so he separated us, so I realised that even though I know deep down that we are meant for one another, I realised, that at least I wasn’t spiritually mature enough to be with, I have to strengthen my relationship with God and give God his place in my heart before I can be with him and have a godly relationship with him, and when the time is right I just know that we will be together again.
Me and my boyfriend (now friend and brother in Christ) were delivered by God from sin ,we both love God but sin was still at the center of our relationship and somehow we tried to do things on our own to no longer sin bt God himself delivered us it was a miracle the way things happened,we we went from worldly dating ,to no longer dating and we are still friends close as before but now the basis of our relationship is mostly in Christ and not the worldy things which will lead us to death We are still hoping that God units us again as partners in a Godly way but we trust in his plan. All the glory to him we take no credit .
Wow , May God continuously bless this union
💯♾️
God's timing
Beautiful beautiful
Hi Lyla I follow your videos a lot and I love how the holy spirit flows through you. I really need insight on something right now and I know that you only speak what the bible says. My fiance is a jw and I've been okay with it until I saw some disturbing things about them. I talked to him about it and we both promised to stick to the truth based on the bible about everything I saw . We had this talk but all I saw him do was being so defensive and not being open to see the point I'm trying to make. It's like he's brainwashed or something. He says I'm biased but I'm not. I'm really concerned and troubled. I would really appreciate it so so much if you can tell me your view about the Jehovah witness cause I know you only say things based on the bible. And I feel something off about them. I hope you reply me. Thank you so much.
Hi friend! Thank you for your kind words and reaching out with such a sincere question. First, I want to acknowledge the weight of what you're experiencing. It can be troubling when you're deeply committed to both your faith and your relationship, but there seems to be a disconnect between the two. Ultimately, only God can guide you to the right path in this situation. The Bible speaks clearly about being "equally yoked" in 2 Corinthians 6:14, reminding us that our spiritual unity is crucial in marriage. That doesn't mean it's always easy, but it's important to seek that common foundation. I encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal His truth to both you and your fiancé. God promises in James 1:5 that if we lack wisdom, we can ask Him, and He will give it generously. He knows what you need and will guide you step by step as you continue to seek His will together. You also mentioned feeling something off about Jehovah's Witnesses, and it’s important to follow that feeling and compare what you're learning to the truth of Scripture. Jesus' identity and the nature of the Trinity are foundational in mainstream Christian belief. The Bible presents Jesus as God in human form, part of the Trinity-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (John 1:1, Matthew 28:19). This differs from the Jehovah’s Witnesses' perspective, which views Jesus as a created being rather than co-equal with God the Father. God is not the author of confusion, the enemy is. I pray for clarity and peace for you. Trust that God will lead you as you seek His truth, and remember that scripture and prayer are your strongest tools. He is faithful and will guide you through this, one step at a time. I’m praying for you so much! Do not let your faith be swayed by any doubt. The path that you’re on is beautiful one!
@@growingthroughitpodThank you so much Lyla❤. You're an inspiration! I'm really praying for him to see the truth of God's word. God bless you!
Wow such an amazing video, thank you for sharing this with us. I will be sharing this rich word with my bible group
Ol Drew. If bro was black he'd be a cornball sadly where im from.

I am sooo thankful for this video 😩😍🙏 I needed this!!
My bf and I have relations outside of marriage and it’s a constant struggle for me.. thank you for this message..
i recently broke up with my ex, mutually, over faith and values as well. at first, he was receptive to Christ when he came back (after we broke up a separate time). clearly things were rushed, and he desired something deeper without giving us a chance to be able to do the spiritual work, so old patterns returned and i had to let him go. currently blocked on everything and im just trying to keep my eyes on the Lord, and praying for him from afar, in hopes that he finds Jesus.
Amen God bless u
In God’s time, according to His will and way ❤
this is so true
