Glad to see husband looking out for wifey. Merry Christmas ❤
Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎁🎄 ☃️
I am suprised the swedish air in tires does not bother you........but than again it is easy fix.....cheers
funny you say that, the swedish air actually made it in my top 10 list, missed the cut for top 5 though haha joking. cheers
I just ordered the Element XL. Hope it’s not obnoxious
I love mine compared to the OEM seat for sure!!! But I don't think anything will compare to the comfort of those big cushy late 80s early 90s bikes haha. I had a old school cr250 I used for trails and that thing was comfortable and a tractor!!!
@ agreed. Had an 87 KX250 👍🏻
Ahhh nice mine was a 86 CR250, I regret selling that bike! Something about the older 2 strokes that these newer bikes just can't compare too
$20 shipping on a $350 seat is crazy. Might buy one from rocky mountain for free ship Hope you didnt have to pay to return ship the first one
The seat was expensive but they do offer Military discounts so I saved some money there, and return shipping was free. They was even nice enough to ship me the correct seat before even receiving the old one so I was able to get it pretty quick.
Ride safe.
Thanks 🙏
This guy sounds he has never rode it
Let hope my boy that the 2025 version has some important updates.
Ride safe.
Great video man! Do you have details/video of how you mounted your number plate? Cheers! 🇦🇺
@@rickstar121412 this is probably the best video for the number plate, there's only 3 bolts that go around the sides that hold it in place. Or are you talking about the side panel number plates? If your talking about the side panels I don't, but I do know one side is easier then the other, one side has a stupid clip that was hard to reach and I ended up breaking the clip hahaha
@@MrMoto510 oh okay that’s all good, I think I found the mod you have online. Looks great on your bike! I think it the perimeter of the plate holder is too small for my Australian number plate though… Unless it allows you to just mount whatever size plate onto the backing plate.
@@rickstar121412 thanks! And unfortunately mine is only for American plates. But I know a plate mod that would work for you, Supermofools makes 1 for European plates and you could use my discount code for 10 percent off their whole website. Their plate mod accepts any size plate I believe. "MRMOTO10" is my discount code if you see anything you like
@@rickstar121412 and sorry I got confused because here in the states we call them fender eliminators and license plate frames. And we usually call the headlight plate the number plate haha. Sorry for confusion
@@MrMoto510 My apologies I had no idea! No wonder you were confused, all good my guy. Sweet as, I’ll have a look at those now 🤙🏻
I own an Husky FC350 for my MX bike. It’s been the best mx bike I’ve ever had. And I’ve been racing and riding MX since 1988 so have had lots of bikes. I own a triumph T120 for my road bike which I love and is absolutely a fantastic machine for long rides out with my wife as a pillion. But I am seriously thinking of getting one of these soon as a back lane blaster bike for solo hour out blasts. Just looks like a big ass MX bike for the road. Looks like it will be so much fun to Chuck about.
@@depthjunkie1 ohh you would not have any regrets with this bike! I have a Harley Davidson that is my bike for long rides and stuff, and I bought this for the local around town and back roads riding and it's a blast! I ride this more then my other bikes now haha. The power delivery is amazing, it could be geared down a little more from factory, first gear is a little weird. I believe the KTM version came with lower gearing.
While the smog equipment is not necessary the argument about weight is ridiculous. Deleting it does absolutely nothing for performance either. This is a dirt bike with street tires if you wanted a bike with a tach then this is not for you. The exhaust is loud enough to know what RPM you are at. I've ran mine for over 10k miles and never had an issue. While it does have it flaws this bike was brilliantly engineered for it parameters.
@@ApexMotoLab256 glad your happy with your bike in its factory form, I love to dump money into everything I buy and make it perfect to me. And I made this video for the people who might not own this bike or on the fence so I picked my least favorite things about the bike. Curious what your list of 5 things would be if you had to made one?? 🤔
It willl fit.... get it as far up as you can, then if you can see the holes where the bolts go use a punch and move the seat forward. It takes some major break in time.
Mine was the sam eway putting on, very tight.
Hopefully they sent you the correct seat the first time unlike me haha.
Stop banging the seat ffs
@@therealslimshady4555 I'm trying to break it in faster 😉 lol
Sounds like you hate your bike so much you should perhaps consider changing your name to "Karen" ha ha. Just ride it dammit, it's a Super Motard not an Adventure Bike. This was the most fun bike I have ever owned.
As an experienced motorcyclists, i can't agree with anything you've said...
@@d-3five161 do you have this same bike in full factory form and love it 100 percent and didn't change a thing? 🤔. I've never met anyone that loves rubber pegs especially in the rain or for wheelies or anything
😂
Just have mine yesterday love it but when you take the black kit from Husqvarna, handguard are not the same, they are bigger and look weird to me I dont like it tbh😅
@@MrPierre1337 My Husqvarna dealer had different size options. I ordered 2 different sizes and I picked my favorite one. Did your dealer offer you different sizes?
No☹️ im looking for the Originals one but in black, seems like it doesnt exist, anyway.. Thanks you, hello from France 😉
@@MrPierre1337 that is weird, maybe they carry different styles for different countries or something, or they quit making this style and you have to find them. And thanks from California for the view! I plan on going to France one day for Paris Disney! Haha
@@MrMoto510 avoid Paris 😉
Why rev your bike at a red light?
So basically no low beam. No thanks!!!!!
It includes the wires for the low beam, but as the "plug and play" portion it's wired for just the little light bar then high beams. There's a couple extra steps for a dedicated low beam
ill be honest that sounds like a skill issue bubba
What is a skills issue?
@@MrMoto510 the rider
Unexpected white spaces is what is beautiful about Huqsvarna designs. KTM and Gas Gas version are more uniform. All black has lost character.
@@constantinosschinas4503 yes some white can show character, but on this model I felt the designers "gave up" once they got to the front of the bike. The front of the bike was just all plain white, no designs or anything. And I did not like that. If they used some white cues throughout the bike that could have been nice.
@@MrMoto510 Understandable, but still i prefer the design over KTM. That front is better shaped (not too pointy) and the saddle is sweet as it hugs the frame. 10mm more padding also, i think.
@@constantinosschinas4503 that I agree! all my dirtbikes are KTM, and I love them, but I wouldnt touch that KTM 690SM, that thing gets uglier every model year it seems haha
Good video 👍 I’m considering getting one early next year, over in the UK the 701’s are priced around the £7k mark. Do you notice much difference switching between the modes? Ie will be front wheel come up in mode 1?
You wouldn't regret it! These bikes are awesome and nimble through the city and the power loves being opened up also on long windy back roads. And honestly I always keep it on the sport map. When bike was all stock and brand new the front end did come up though, now with tune and exhaust the front end REALLY comes up haha. I can roll on the throttle hard in 3rd gear and front end slowly comes up and feels great. I'm not sure exactly our currency exchange rates but that sounds like a good deal!
@@MrMoto510 Thanks for the information, it certainly looks fun. Happy riding 👍
I have a 2017 701 with an Akrapovic …… it’s turned me into a 55 year old born again hooligan… love it!
My Harley has been parked a while and left on a battery tender ever since I got this bike haha. I'm on vacation now and actually looking forward to going back home to ride! 💨.
do you have a fuel gauge on your bike?
No just a light to show reserve
@@StGeorgeofuk ok, thanks😁👌
I had a 2017 and put 42K on it, now I have a 2023 getting ready to do the 12K service, but I'm a 61 year old born again hooligan, Loving it !
Okay so at this point if you dont like the colour, foot pegs or how the Exhaust sounds then just dont buy it. This is crying for nothing. The first gear thing i understand but this is the only thing i would agree here
I would have to disagree with you. I am not a person to buy a car or motorcycle and keep it stock. And why would I not buy a motorcycle over foot pegs (which I made better for free and less then 5 minutes) or the front fender color when I can buy a new plastics for cheap. I was gonna buy a new exhaust and tune it regardless of exhaust sound. I like to customize to my style. And the purpose of this video is to show others what I consider cons for it in stock form to help them in their buying decisions. And I will make a video next of what I love about the bike to also help people decide
@@MrMoto510 i understand that but if there is a "problem" that you will fix regardless like exhaust or foot pegs then why would you bother complaining about it? I think that the Stock 701 is a good vehicle and These minor inconveniences are just not worth mentioning
How tall are you? I am afraid im too tall to start riding supermotos, but you seem also quite tall.
These bikes are pretty tall and I feel comfortable on it and I'm 6'3
what ?? Supermoto are good bikes for tall people. Are you beginning in motorcycles ? check the seat height, they have one of the highest dude So nobody is too tall for sumo, dont be afraid of that lol but the best is to try one, you'll understand. If you are too tall for this one, you are too tall for any motorcycle ^^
15T front 45T rear, how the bike should have been from the factory.
I haven't checked but I heard the KTM 690s come with different gearing. But the Husky could use a little bit lower gearing for sure
jos
Nice video! Where you get de black fender/ lamp?
Husqvarna motorcycle website.
Hey thanks for compliment! And I got all the black plastics from my local Husqvarna dealer
Nice. Where are these roads?
This was just some short back roads near my house going through Briones, Pinole Valley, and past the San Pablo Reservoir
would it work well as an adventure dirtbike? how much fuel does it carry standard? that looks like a pretty big rear tank., ill keep an eye out for your things you like about it vid. i wonder why twin cylinder dirtbikes arent a thing, my dream is to make one with an engine invention i have using a rotary valve
Hey thanks for the comment! And for adventure bike it depends on the ratio of street to off-road you plan to do, and how crazy of off road trails. They also make a Enduro model of this bike that might be better suited for adventure. But this bike has power and can cruise 100mph on the highway and it feels planted and smooth. Husqvarna makes some adventure specific models also that I hear are great bikes. The fuel tank I think is 3.4 gallons, and they actually do have twin cylinder bikes, not sure if they still make them but they do have them, Aprilia makes a twin cylinder Supermoto 550 and 450 or something, not very reliable bikes but they sound amazing and are fun
You fuck! You made a video but didn't even show where you mounted the rear strap. It's nearly impossible to find in documentation where KTM designed these straps attachment point.
Where did you get those mirrors??
the mirrors are from Stealth Mirrors, they also have something kinda similiar an cheaper at Supermofools which i am an affiliate and can give you a discount code "MRMOTO10"

I have also installed the Supermofools indicators, but mine where flashing like retardet. Do you know, if i have to change something with the electricity?
Ohh that sucks! I didn't have that issue. But I'm assuming your talking about it's flashing like really fast? You will need a plug in relay that controls the speed of the indicator.
You need a ballast resistor, not a relay.
so how did it work? i have the same helmet. same problem..... lol
Ohh it works great, I ride on the freeway with this helmet now. It ain't gonna compare to a street bike helmet or anything but it's WAYYYYY better.
