I dont think dating apps are working for 77% of guys.
Bro I live in Japan too. Dating apps sucks as hell but I have better luck interacting with girls IRL. Like going to third places, just be yourself. I never take myself seriously either and say whatever I want, and usually they find it funny. I also speak Japanese but not fluent.

Hey greetings to India, I miss India very much, amazing kind people out there! For speaking Japanese everyday I would say practice speaking to yourself as much as possible. Look to see if there is any others trying to learn in the area. Look for community of language learners or create a community if there isnt any.
