That is way too large to be a edc type of item. The sabre aim and fire pepper gel gun is much more compact It's 3.5" shorter and about 2 ounces lighter And uses pepper gel. I think the Saber aim and fire pepper gel gun would be a lot better self defense tool. Nice reviwe.

Have you tested the Sabre 3 in 1 combined with CS Tear Gas and Pepper Spray? Wondering if that’s as effective as the Sabre Red.

We have rhis in europe, fun fact its a rip off of the walther pgs pepper launcher witch is exclusive to europe and we get that sexy walther branding. Very surpised umerex didnt make this available to you guys but the rip off looks the same aside from branding

Excellent well done and we thank you so very much for your efforts as we are now quite sufficiently informed that this can be a very good less than lethal alternative for personal defense that empowers the user with proactive alternatives for survival. I like the fact that it appears that this product could give you an opportunity to survive even a apparent bear or mountain lion encounter and affords the user enough distance to effect a successful Escape or other alternatives. That is of course in all situations there is no room for the possibility of a pepper ball not breaking and dispersing as it was designed to and so we remain a bit concerned and skeptical about the prospects and possibilities that such a situation might present. Leaning towards the desire to have this tool as an alternative in combination with other lethal and less lethal options. Thanks again for a great and very informative video.

This is the most comprhensive video of this product i have ever seen. Yes, i have one.

I own both the old and new style Mace guns. I have found if you need to use it do it within 10 feet and aim at the the face or neck. The 2.0 does not fit in the holster mace sells, so find a alternative holster. I only carry this were regular fire arms are not allowed. Something is better than nothing.

Is there a kydex inside waistband holster for this? I would like to use as everyday carry.

Um actually the light is not to project/identify/highlight your attacker ,but to ‘attract the attacker’s glance/vision/eyes’ so that the attacker might actually take a few seconds to stare the light with open eyes and what that few seconds will provide you with is open straight eyes to spray the p-spray in his eyes directly ,other wise have you noticed when people get sh@t or while getting sh@t they close their eyes ,for example like when you are about to get hit by a foot ball you automatically/in+voluntarily close your eyes ,now similarly imagine if there was a distraction with a medium of light at that very moment instead of closing your eyes you will get hit by the ball in the face but while you got hit you didn’t get time to close your eyes because your whole attention was on the light few seconds before the incident. (Otherwise whether you get hit by a bullet/ball/p-spray you will close your eyes and the impact to the eyes will be little less.) [so to increase the impact and probability of hitting it in the eyes of the attacker the light is provided.]

Since you pointed out that one of the drawbacks is the laser not being bright enough for daytime use, I think it would help to demonstrate how easy or difficult it is to shoot accurately without using the laser. Given that the purpose is to disperse the pepper cloud, "close enough" to hit something to break the pepper ball may be sufficient to get the job done. The pain from a well-placed shot would certainly help in disabling an attacker, but I wonder if even just hitting the ground or a large object near the attacker would be enough to break the ball and disperse the cloud close enough to be effective.

Excellent review that I’m glad I watched. I was planning on getting this, but after watching your review, NO! Anybody coming for you with say a knife, 10’ is far too close. He can/will be on you in a hurry before you know it. 20’ , I’m OK with, but not 10’ . Thanks again, I really appreciate your thorough review and the demo of an attacker.

Great review. Too bad you can't make your own spray as I have some Caribbean pepper sauce from Trinidad. Even a little residue on your hands after wiping it off get's close to your eyes, you are in deep doodoo. It burns like crazy.
