The show was killer (saw it twice!) Remember it fondly to this day-made me really want to sing more early stuff. I don’t think BEMF ever released it, but does anyone know if they filmed the whole thing?
Would you be able to give any advice on how to sing Furibondo spira il vento? This song is insane. I’ve been training as a countertenor for a year and can sing about six or seven songs well enough. I decided to try this and got hit in the face by the amount of melisma in semiquavers. I’m in such a plight.

Usually I prefer historically accurate performances but this works perfectly with the more modern sounding piano style. Michael has a lovely touch on the piano! Thank you for posting this gem!

He has the richest countertenor voice I’ve ever heard. Andreas Scholl and Reginald Mobley have lovely voices but they are a lot thinner. I feel like Jaroussky and Orlinski are somewhere in between. Christopher’s is unbelievably wonderful and his technique impeccable.
