as a longtime fan of the cog in the machine track from original world of goo this is the best thing i have ever heard

While I do like both versions, I can feel like this one is a little... weaker now of course that's probably part of the general direction they went with the OST here, to make it more natural, less dreadful thematically speaking, the first one felt like "I've won!... but at what cost...". It starts off like a little congratulation, and then it throws a very regretting tone at you. Meanwhile, this version tells you: "you have won. Look at how beautiful it is up there!". Thematically, it's very appropriate, and the song itself is still really good. But personnaly, I do prefer the more depressing tone of the old one. I feel like it has a some more depht to it.

The fact that 8 bit drummer is in this makes it 100 times better

I finally figured out what the meaning was about why it was always raining in c4. It’s because rain can be considered the opposite of snow since they’re different forms of precipitation, and likewise the Blackwood Oil company could be considered the opposite of in-universe Tomorrow Corporation. TC is an evil corporation that has good intentions wanting to make everyone basically have eternal childhoods playing in fireplaces but have extreme ends toward doing so like making everyone forget about the outside world, with its leader Nancy being a secretive person (pretending she doesn’t know anything about the snow) who gave up her dreams to go through for her plans with humanity. Blackwood on the other hand is an evil corporation with completely evil intentions wanting to sell environment-harming oil for their own profit with its leaders Effie and her father actively bragging about their atrocities (murder of rusty) and destroying everyone else’s dreams to fulfill their own dreams. Therefore since Burnington and WoG17 City are both under dystopias caused by people with opposite motives, it only makes sense that the situation of the dystopia is opposite as well.

Thanks for making “Are You Coming Home” not as emotional. I can finally listen without feeling sad. My brain recognized it as the same key it originally starts out in before the emotional parts. Towards the ending is my favorite part. Sounds so beautiful!!

This kind of felt like Cliff's theme song to me. It had the exaggerated confidence that I was feeling when Cliff walked into Sunshine corporation, and it has the Ode to the Bridge Builder motif, which matches well with Cliff Spanner's name.

Probably my least favorite level in the game. Had to take a break from the game trying to beat it. It was pretty satisfying once I did get the hang of it though.

Ye Old Reckonator's gameplay may not have been nearly up to par with the rest of the game, but I think it was incredibly important to the story, and the message that 2D Boy was trying to get across here.

I swear, 2:13 right as it hits the C#, always gives me the bumps and the chest flutters, when they reintroduce the bass and the choir. It’s my favorite part. Like defeating an obstacle from your past. Very powerful. Also love how the song grows louder.

It sounds way more aggressive than cog in the machine, like they’re pushing themselves,and the player as well to getting more goo, to bring back the organization once what it was
