It was so warm that day, I was beat physically by the time I walked back up to Robert and my first attempt (maybe 2) at riding back up again were aborted as I didn't have the energy for it 😩 Even when I did make it up it was a tired looking effort !

@johncarson2128 It can really take it out of you, especially, 1 if it's wet, 2 if your already tired😫

No way I'd tackle them up or down if it was wet, even before I bumped my shoulder 🤕🤣

13 weeks since my little accident. Fractures are long since healed but I've currently got Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen shoulder) which is a direct result of my injury. It means I've very restricted shoulder/arm movement though within my limits I'm fairly strong and more or less pain free. For now it's physio (painful 😭) in an attempt to release the adhesion but any improvement is very slow going. Thanks for asking

@@stevebrown7584 Well I hadn't much need for it 😄 The KTM 200 was fresh of a full top and bottom end rebuild, it's always sounded great but I also changed the pipe this year and and it's had a real rasp since. I suspect the silencer could do with repacking too.

I'm a sometime visitor to the Island, at TT I ride my road bike. As Darren has suggested the tour guides would be a great starting point.

Robert rode the KTM back to Douglas while I waited at the end of the trail. The girl from the guest house brought him back in her car, he took the Beta back and I got dropped off at Nobles. A friend from the Island rode my bike onto the ferry and walked back off before departure, one of the SPC crew rode it off in Belfast. All worked out well enough 👍🏻

Hi Steve, I had been hoping to fit in another trip before the end of August (That's when the boats from Ireland finish for the season) However 6-8 weeks heal time for the fractures takes me right out until then, realistically I'm probably done for this season. I'll be back though, going to keep returning until I see a wallaby 😀

@@johncarson2128 f you wanted some winter riding there you could do wha some of my mates did to get to the TT once. Boats from Liverpool and Heysham all booked solid but they had accommodation booked. So they rode from the midlands here to Holyhead, took the boat to Dublin. Then rode to Belfast and straight on a boat to Douglas. A bit crazy but they were determined not to miss TT! Oh, and no idea what it cost either! Get well soon, and as the others say-stick with the physio!

I usually do it in the opposite direction, especially when I've got company as the first section is pretty tough. It's been a while since I done it that way, surprised me how steep the hill is (Just after the hard bit at the start) and how long the steep bit goes on for. It does level out quite a bit after that and sort of feels like you are riding around the side of the hills without too big a change in elevation. Its a great trail, I'll get the bottom section sorted without stopping next year, someone told me I just need to give it more beans 😀

Just Wild Atlantic Way - (June) still havent got around to editing on-bike footage.... Hope to upload soon. Took a guy around TT week - fell off on Slieau Whallian rocks and really bruised shoulder (the good one !) needless to say - last track of the day ! havent been out on Honda since... Shoulder was a bit of a nuisance on Ireland trip...! OK now. Just bought a couple of Kayaks. Good in this hot weather !! :P @@johncarson2128
