Hungry PJ (Port Jackson)
มุมมอง 402 ปีที่แล้ว
Enjoy watching a Port Jackson having breakfast chomping in the sand with dust clouds billowing from its gills. While Port Jackson sharks don't have sharp teeth they do have a strong jaw for crushing bivalves, urchins & crustaceans. They are quite harmless but do have a barb in front of both dorsal fins.

Leap of faith

Every year hundreds Spider Crabs come in to the shallows of Port Philip Bay to moult. Some individuals stand out with their comical antics. Love this guy who seems to like me too. We need to protect these spider crabs whilst they are vulnerable during their annual moult #saveourspidercrabs
Our Spider Crabs need protection. Aggregation 2020.
มุมมอง 4294 ปีที่แล้ว
Every year our native Spider Crabs moult their shells to grow. During this process they are very vulnerable while their new shells are soft and swollen and take a few days to harden. So, to try and survive their natural predators at this time they migrate together forming mass aggregations in the hundreds or thousands in shallow areas of Port Philip Bay. Safety in numbers. Often found amassing ...
Octopus housekeeping
มุมมอง 3975 ปีที่แล้ว
Diving Blairgowrie Marina and we came across an Octopus under the matting. I suspect this is a female Maori Octopus who decided to do a bit of housekeeping after we stopped to observe her.
Teeny, Weeny Weedy Seadragon

A juvenile Weedy Seadragon only 2cm long, like a piece of flotsam, drifts with the flow of water movement under Portsea Pier.
Cuttlefish Interuptus

On the last dive of two days filming the Giant Cuttlefish mating congregation in Whyalla, South Australia, I had a surprise drop in by a pod of dolphins! Just managed to capture the speedy devils as they wizzed around and over me in 3mtrs of water.
Stella the Albino Smooth Ray
มุมมอง 6616 ปีที่แล้ว
A chance encounter with an Albino Smooth Ray! The annual molting of Spider Crabs attracts many Smooth Rays in to the shallows for a feed while there are thousands of crabs congregating and shells are still soft. At this years molt we had an amazing encounter with a beautiful albino smooth ray who has unfortunately at some time been caught and had its tail cut off by a fisherperson. Fortunately ...

"The Dance" Giant Cuttlefish

A mesmerizing sight to witness a couple of Giant Cuttlefish in mating season, dancing with tentacles extended flowing like silk ribbons, and ripples of colour emanating across their bodies. A very graceful performance!
Project Banjo footage
มุมมอง 2977 ปีที่แล้ว
Rays of Port Philip Bay need projecting from inhumane fishing practices and illegal killing. Guidelines are available from Fisheries Victoria on releasing unwanted catch unharmed but some deliberately ignore this. Some disregard the fact that rays are live animals that feel pain & suffering. This footage is what divers see too often under local piers. Illegal, cruel, unnecessary. Needs to stop.
Poor Banjo no text over

Banjo/Fiddler Ray... These beautiful and harmless creatures are often mutilated or killed by fishers, illegally, and dumped under local piers. All creatures have a purpose on this earth. Ignorance has to stop.
Wow what an experience...blessed
Good job GL!! You are an awesome person. Thank you for being my instructor and all you have shown and taught me. Much respect. Don
Poor mantra ray! That line cut into her flesh so deep! She must have been in pain for so long. She was so smart to keep circling back to let the humans free her. Bless every single one of them for helping this beautiful creature.🤗💖
I'm so very proud of you if only more humans were like y'all. ☯️☮️🦧
What's the music in the video?
I love people like these people.
Excellent job. Such a ridiculously beautiful creature.
This is one of my favorite videos. I still love it now - as when I first saw it years ago.
These gentle giants of the deep, some as big as 4 meters across. Hope she steers clear of the entanglement by man’s habit of tossing invisible indestructible trash that can really harm the denizens of the deep. 🤷🏼♀️
☹️
Also, who is the music by? It sounds so good and relaxing
That was amazing! If like to see more videos like this from you. And I don't mean all rescue videos. Lol. Just some good footage. Great job guys!
La murène - - si c'en est une - - st impressionnante par sa façon de se mouvoir. Je trouve l'araignée danseuse originale et étonnante. Des poissons aux multiples couleurs splendides. Les coraux et les éponges fascinent.
Wow, how beautiful to still see after all these years, caring people looking after the georgous gracefulness of the deep blue seas. You all deserve our respect xxx
Beautiful ♥️ well done guys 👍
Ah yes sea B-2 Spirit
That was a huge cut ..wonder how long she lived after that ..
I'm never got bored by this. :) Yet it's so touching... :')
Can anyone help me out with the music playing in this awesome footage? The details of the music are usually noted before the comments. Thanks for any help !
Another one of God's beautiful creations !
this is amazing
Sea creatures probably think that the swimming gear with the feet paddles, and snorkels and oxygen tanks are a part of the human body.
That thing is enormous
Amazing job well done gives you abit of faith in humanity
It's like having David Attenborough on my phone. Love it.
How long do these things live?
For a change terrific healing work with "our" underwater dreaming-body ancestral psyche's...!!
LOVE this Video !!!!!!😍😍😍
never thought a ray could look so beautiful. its a shame how much damage fishing lines, nets and hooks seem to do. Seems like a bigger issue than the trash polluting the waters even.
I Love The Creature Teachers & am an activist for all Sentient beings. I don't hang out with too many humans but the ones i love the most are those who are Mindful & help The Creatures, they usually need help because some humans have been mindless. My favorite humans are those who are HumanKIND, Thank You for helping (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
Great job!! She was in pain!! Poor girl can start to heal now. Good thing Mantas don't have barbs. I think there were scary moments to her, well maybe more pain and upset. She didn't really seem scared.
Diver: I need to cut this off of you. Hold still please. Manta: Ouch!!! Dammit dude. Diver: Get back here, it is going to create more problems for you!! Manta: Alright...just be careful, I am in alot of pain.
indeed yes ! , God himself gave man dominium over all created animals on earth , therefore they know from Him to ask for help from us , excellent and very good ++ 💜🇺🇸
This may have been same Manta rescued from the beach caught up in nets & hook that Some Germane people managed to film& rescue.
I held my breath for what seemed like ages and ages when the guide tried to cut the line away at the very beginning, it must have been agony. I was over the moon when it was eventually all cut away
Those divers deserve a gold medal 🥇
Absolutely incredible. Your diligence paid off where others might have give up. You also made a grown man cry.
You's Dudes are the ducks nuts the Bee's knee's and the Ants pants. So very well done all.
super job amazing
I didn't realize manta rays were so big! Very cool!
The line cut into her flesh. Man careless fishermen leaving line all over the Ocean. This is what happens to our wonderful sea creatures. Glad GL helped Jane, and that she let him help. How wonderful!
If we knew how much this lovely creature loves God in the spirit we would be blown away and we would all certainly do the same
Bless these good hearted divers for helping the undersea creatures who cannot help themselves... how to ban nylon fishing line and find something that will deteriorate to not harm sea life, while not penalizing the fishermen who use it? This has to happen NOW!
Magnifique merci quel bel animal
Wow, that is the most beautiful event I've seen in my life
She may have stayed after the line was cut because she thought the humans could heal her injury too.
The manta is so beautiful
I’m so grateful that these animals have learned to ask for our help to repair the issues we’ve caused. We can be helpers or destroyers of our world…
Beautiful!! I hope her wing heals back. Wonderful divers!
Nice accompanying music. What's the track called?
