Trigger control is difficult. Very good job of sticking to a plan. Most don’t have the discipline to do it. That said there is a fine line. PA is not Iowa. Lot of people get expectations too high. Mainly because of social media and outdoor programming. Passing 110 inch buck on PA public land is fine if you have higher goals for yourself but expecting they are going to survive the orange army is probably only wishful thinking at best. I shot my biggest buck this year in PA (mid 150s). That is probably one of only a handful of buck I have had in front of me in PA that is pope and young class. I am much older than you so it’s long odds. Class of buck is getting better but it’s just not as good as social media would suggest. Congrats on a great season..

Never a failed season if you let the young ones grow. I did the same this year, with the exception on a miss on a big 10. Hit a branch and the arrow landed between his feet. 😢. Let a lot of young deer walk at 10-20 yards though and it felt good doing it.

I'm a hunter and have been for over 47 years. This is just my opinion, but I don't think that this type of video is what you want the non-hunting public to THINK that YOU want THEM to SEE. It is a part of the hunt that should not be celebrated, as the public will judge such actions. Remember, the U.S. population only boasts 5% as hunters, and 10% as anti-hunters. The remaining 85% are non-hunters and this type of video may just help to turn them into anti-hunters. You have an obligation to all of us to not repeat this mistake. The footage of the buck, TWO POOR SHOTS, and watching it basically die a slow death, well, it is just pathetic to show.

A fellow PA resident hunter here, great job man. Self filming can be tough but you did great on both kills.

That's legendary stuff! Only PA hunters understand the satisfaction in harvesting two of the most prominent Big game animals in the world with no guide, no bait, and public land pressure.
