Hello... Can we give exam from home online? What is passing criteria?
Yes, you may avail PMP Certification Exam from your home. It will be online proctored exam for which you need to schedule the exam by selecting from available exam slots and follow the procedure. Passing criteria is : Score 'On target' or 'Above Target' in all the three domains People, Process and Business Environment
I’m starting to think that the PMP is a scam. I studied everything, paid for simulaltors and the questions were longer and mire difficult than anyone prepared me for-twice. I have taken practice exams and scored in-the high 70s consistency. I am physically ill about the whole thing.
Daniel, you need to clear your concepts well to attempt questions correctly. If you have not spent enough time in understanding the concepts and if you have focused more on mock tests, then you might score well in mock tests as you might the tests repeatedly remembering the answers. Spend enough time in learning the concepts. I am going to launch a new e-learning course of mine soon. Try to join my course and learn the concepts and get all the details about the exam in it to prepare well.
I didn't pass my PMP , but what's strange is when I compared my results with a colleague who passed witn AT our results were similar. Why did this happen!!!
Question weightages will vary
You need to get 'On target' or 'Above target' grade against all the three domains i.e. People, Process and Business Environment. Even if your overall score is good and if your performance is 'below target' in any of these domains, it is declared as failed

You need to visit PMI.org website for the latest fees details as the exam fees varies from region to region. Please visit the website to know how much is the fees for your region. You will be able to see discounted fees if you are PMI member.

May I know Resource allocation comes under which type of PMO? Supportive or Controlling or Directive.
Resource allocation is the duty of Directive PMO as it has complete control over the projects including resource management of the projects. The Supportive and Controlling type of PMOs have low or moderate level of control over projects, so the resource management responsibility lies with the Project management team of the respective projects where they have these types of PMO. But otherwise, the key features of any of the PMO from resource management perspective can be: - Develop processes, methodologies and best practices for assigning resources - Identify methods, lay down procedures for resource management in a project - Creates and offers training programs for the projects - Help projects by building and setting up project management software and collaboration tools for project teams I hope this helps! :)
