You do a really great job of making this character seem harmless but still obviously _wrong._ They don't feel threatening until the end, even with the off-putting behavior throughout. Somehow, even with all the alarms they set off, you don't really realize the danger of the situation until it's too late. What a great performance!

the Old Ones from the cthuhlu mythos are literal straight up scifi aliens, but lovecraft was creative so he framed them as unknowable gods because of his views on horror, and that clash created the lovecraftian genre one of them is literally called an alien in one of the stories (though probably using the original meaning of the word)

This reminds me of my dogs we got in 2019. They (2, M and F) were from the pound and so scared, they didn’t dare go down the hallway on the first night and shared the cat bed. Thankfully, after a few years, they’re lively, love snuggles and look a lot healthier. I did go find them after listening to this hug them, and tell them I was happy they’re here. I love my silly little puppies
