2RawForTheStreets was born in 1998. Big Star created a blueprint that would have an everlasting impact on the Philly hip-hop culture and beyond. The roster of 2RawFTS Alumni runs deep, the memories are classic, and the legacy will live forever. It’s crazy that it’s been 20+ years since the conception. This channel is dedicated to the movement and will tell the history of Big Star, The Camera, and the many lives that were touched during the journey. I would like to thank all the MC’s, producers, DJ’s, B-Boys, Graf Writers, graphic artists, radio DJ’s, mixtape stands, stores, and others involved. I especially want to thank the fans and supporters for helping the movement to grow to heights unimaginable prior to social media, TH-cam, and smart phones. I look forward to taking this trip down memory lane, re-releasing the classics, unlocking never seen before archives, and connecting with some of my alumni. E NESS & BIG STAR REUNITE 22 YEARS LATER and NESS SPITS A "FREESTYLE" JUST LIKE OLD TIMES
I met my brother E Ness back in 2002 and 22 years later in 2024 we reconnected live on the set of his "LET ME TALK MY ISH" documentary so I could share some memories and reflections about the legend. It wasn't planned for him to be on the set, but as I was wrapping up he walked in the room and it was a reunion long overdue. The love and the energy was the same as the day we met in the Bartram Village projects. It felt like deja vu all over again, and to end the encounter the right way my bro spit a quick freestyle on demand. This encounter brought back so many memories and was definitely appreciated.

I remember watching videos of these brothers on youtube back in 2007. The amount of talent in philly was unreal at the time, and i feel like somehow how philly never properly had their moment to shine. They are the pre-cursor to the drill music. I mean as far as showcasing indepentent raw talent, without a major record deal or industry backing. Just simply raw talent from the streets, no smoke, mirrors, million dollar budget or hiding mediocre bars behind big name producers. Pilly has their own slang with the "young bul" lingo just as chicago has the "foe n em" verbage. Also no shade to meek mills, but I never thought he'd be the one to blow over all these other guys like vodka, and honestly speaking I had my bets on joey hihad, or reed dollars making it before meek. The whole touch money movement was its on dipset during that time.
