Hi, I'm Chad!
I'm a passionate motorcycling enthusiast who started club racing in 2021, and have documented my entire experience as a motorcycle racer thus far. I began by getting back on track in 2020 after a 3-year hiatus, and started vlogging as I prepared to obtain a racing license and compete with the California RoadRace Association (CRA) in 2021.
In 2022, I won multiple amateur-level 600-class races aboard my 2012 Triumph Daytona 675R, and ultimately secured CRA's 2022 Amateur 600 Supersport Championship. I also raced and won multiple amateur races with the Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association (CVMA) before moving up to the expert category in February 2023.
Going forward, my channel will continue to focus on my journey and progression as a motorcyclist, and on the other aspects of motorcycling which I enjoy, like sharing my opinions on gear and other bikes.
I hope you enjoy my videos, and if you do, I'd appreciate a like, and your subscription. Happy riding! :)

Helpful information matey 😊👍 Cheers from Bundaberg Australia 🇦🇺🍹🕺🏍
I see the orange light on the dash at the end of the video. Is that because you turned off traction control? When i turn off ATC that light pops up on my 2017 Tuono. If i want to do wheelies, what do you recommend the settings to be set at?
i just learn of this and before i learn how motorcycles shifted i thought this would of been the normal way to shift a motorcycle
I have 32,358 miles on my 2019 very few highway miles around 28 track days the rest back roads. At 28,177 miles my only problem was the quick shifter plunger at around $200.00. I had the valves adjusted at 12,000 and 29,000 and that was plenty. The bike runs like new maybe even better and I love it.
Hey Chad, those are some quick laps! I just did my first track day at Chuckwalla this weekend on my 2017 Tuono and I have some questions. What would be a decent pace for C group and what do you think the threshold pace would be for entering B group? My fastest lap was a 2:16. Also what tires are you using? Thanks for all the great informative content!
At 11:46 , is that you controlling throttle to keep it up or just holding down and the bike controls itself up there?
What do you do for work…?
Found this very helpful! Time to practice 👍
which tank pads do you have in the middle of the tank close to the seat?
I want to install this on my speed triple 1200 only I can’t find the cable from the brake switch . Do you know how this works ?
@@moggel6 on a Speed Triple, I'm not sure. But, if it has a Brembo master cylinder from the factory like my Daytona did, the original brake switch may fit on the 19RCS. Compare it with the one that came with the 19RCS. If it looks the same, you should be able to remove it and put it on the 19RCS.
What is the down side of removing the canister and leaving the valve near the tank in place?
Cool
Have you ever had to check piston to valve clearance? I’m trying to see which way is best with clay or dial gauge.
I started off by checking out the Ducati SP2 and after reading many reviews, I’m now waiting to test ride the Factory and then the Tuono also. Like the thought of enjoying a slightly more upright riding position, being 55 years young 😂. Anyone in the U.K. share thier views on degree of comfort between the two model variants? Thanks
Very good video. You cannot over stress how important it is to install the cam retainer (ladder) correctly. Break it and it's a new cylinder head. the ladder is not sold as a seperate part
Thank you for the video, because of you I had ordered mine as well. I noticed in the manual it said to do the bleed first at the master than continue to the calipers. Do you remember encountering any issues after? Pressure wise I presume?
22:25 what's going on with the air bubbles in the tube seen in the background? I've seen that before and it it was driving me nuts.
Does anyone else’s throttle feel too stiff when doing this? I can shift like this perfectly fine without the front brake but when doing it like this I don’t even have enough grip on my throttle to actually rev it properly. It’ll honestly end up being a small rev and my hand will just kinda slip without the throttle coming with it 😂 My hands aren’t huge but they’re not necessarily small either, I’m still getting the same amount of my hand on the throttle as anyone else does when doing this.
I have some questions about setting my own 675r up could you help

Great vid. Great to see a daytona appreciator and your attention to a setup that suits you. If you can gets your hands on one, the arrow slip on, K&N washable filter and even the off the shelf triump tune/ ECU flash is a must. The weight saving is ~5% of the bikes weight. They do change the air fuel mix so weight saving and Hp will benefit handling and performance
Hey,do you think these bikes are still rideable, because they are 9-10 years old minimum
@@01sanchez2 mine ran great the entire time I owned it. I ended up needing new clutch springs, but other than that the bike was solid
Great video !! The valve and timing part seems quite easy to me, but I did a lot of single cylinder mx bikes yet. Hardest part seems to be clear all the stuff out of the way to get to the valve cover. Got a 765 myself and the maintenance manual from Triumph but it's nice to be able to see it instead of those not too brilliant drawings. So thanks man !
Need to remove on elctronic module too

These videos are awesome man I hope you keep them going! I’m planning on racing in my first season next season. Starting on a 675
Don't know with new model, but with Guzzi Diag on my old Tuono V4 2012 I could have changed red light for service.
really awesome breakdown here, I had no idea about the inertial sensors that’s some sick engineering
@@leadrings thank you! Clever engineering indeed!
what means if valves are too tight ?
@@breaktherule758 a valve is considered to be tight when the clearance between the heel of the camshaft lobe when the valve is fully closed and the valve bucket is smaller than what is specified by the manufacturer.
4:55 yeaaa about thattt, should have watched this before trying on my own, lets just say i got some road rash 😅
Great to watch you guys between the traffic jam.not like the idiots English motorbikers that stop on the queues.
This sounds stupid but if you were standing outside in your yard is this exhaust loud enough that you could hear it coming from a good way away if the person was really on it?
@@chillznax depending on which direction the bike is facing, yes it can easily be heard from a distance
Hey man any issues or concerns on buying a used one you could see to check for? It’s a 2017 tuono 1100 factory with 8k on it and has every service record/paper work sense it was new? Thanks
@@zacharnow6147 unless you're comfortable inspecting a bike yourself and have the tools to do so, I would recommend taking it in to a shop for a pre-purchase inspection. They'll check for leaks, check the condition of the battery, brakes, chain, sprockets, and more and give you a report with what they would recommend doing maintenance/repair wise, if anything.
Great video. I have the same year bike and will be doing this procedure. Did you recheck your air box after this was done to see if any rocks were getting in? I would of also cleaned the breather filter while inside of the air box because they get filled with oil from blow-by from the crank case. Over all great video, you are very thorough with the disassembly and assembly procedures.
@@TRocksGarage777 I ended up replacing the OEM with a DNA filter. I did find a couple pebbles when I took everything apart but not as much as the first time. I did also have the valve service done between sealing the airbox and installing the DNA filter, and I don't think they resealed it, so I would say any of my findings are inconclusive.
Great vid mate. Just bought a road 2019 factory rsv4 and rebuilt as a track bike. I've raced 90s 400s for years and so this is all wizardry to me. I've used the upmap / gabro option and jetprime switches but couldn't find the new maps. Good on you for doing such detailed videos without waffling a load of BS like your collgues over the pond 😂. Your evap vid was a peach too.

what brand are those fairings? and don't they need any support bracket under the saddle?
@@GiacintoMarcellino the tail section was made by a company called Optimal Racing. Not sure if they're still in business, but there was a piece tacked on to the underside that ran above the battery so it was supported by both sides of the subframe under the saddle when mounted. Hope that's helpful!
@@hiimchad thanks man, I ask because all the fairings I see now seems to not have one and I don't understand how can they work without, I mean the whole thing would then sit on the battery...
@@GiacintoMarcellino I mean this one does pretty much sit on top of it. I'm sure the two make contact at times. There isn't a lot of clearance, and if I remember correctly, the stock seat rests against the battery too
