Shaders messed up during compiling, it's like the "ERROR" placeholder in the Source engine. You can either verify the files or find the cache folder under appdata, erase the contents, and restart the game.

They have been there for at least 4 weeks... possibly from the beginning. There could be some backstory as to why.

Bethesda's Creation Engine does something very similar when a model can't be loaded into the game correctly. It's supposed to stand out so QA can see and comment on the issue.

I had this happen as well last night. Forgot my name color, but i saw purple each time. Both occurances were followed by a crash a few minutes later. Odd how one of them was the gun part of the mortar strategem (purple body, no question mark) but another identical mortar right next to it didn't have the issues and looked normal. Another was a supposed Rover backpack having the pack and the drone with question marks. Sparks from lasers unknown would dance at my feet before the crash, too. Nobody even brought the Rover pack that mission . . . .

Probably teasing 3 way fights and missions. Would be fucking dope

It's missing a prefab or asset, the game is trying to load something and it's erroring out

All planets were most likely bug planets, if not liberated already. Cyberstan was probably the ONLY bot planet at the time, to then release Automatons to take over planets already bug territory.

This might have some interesting implications

I noticed that because your friend mentioned that it was yellow, it seems to match your player id color. So maybe it's something that will be specific to each helldiver?

They put this in because many people complained that in trailer it showed the metro and in the game there was no metro, so it was a matter of principle not content...to add this. I am happy CDPR did it, as it was what was promised, and they really needed to repair their reputation.

Would be nice to walk around but am happy to watch the view honestly AND to have the metro option!

It's cool. It could be better and allow us to walking around in the metro and use on missions.. feels like a potential wasted
