This was my 4th year at this wonderfully track. Took a helicopter ride that year and got some good video looking down at the hairpin. Still on a real, one of these days will put it on a CD. Also got a video of a helicopter actually blowing a Corvette of the track because he was hovering so low near the MG bridge. I bet there was some bad words said about that bone head move. Great year and great video.
Awesome....I was at that race in '72. Got some great photos of the Jacky Ickx/Mario Andretti #2 Ferrari. I remember the #4 Ferrari driven by Clay Regazzoni/Brian Redmond had a transaxle oil leak; it smoked really bad and had a weird burning smell. Then it caught fire...Ferrari bitched because it took forever for the firemen to douse the blaze. The car was salvaged to race again, thank goodness.
Love it. This was my first of many years at Sebring. I was so thrilled to see my hero Pedro Rodriguez (you got him at 1:04), and 4 months later he was gone. That year was the end of an era. Last of the great 5 liter prototypes. Glad I got to see it. You got some great footage of the Greg Young crash. Great stuff. Many thanks!

Great footage, thanks for uploading
This was my sixth Sebring and in some ways my favorite. I was 14. Your stunning footage brings back priceless memories!

No sound.....
Great memories. Great footage.
my first real race. Out of nowhere was this little red #25 Ferrari. Add in the Penske 512M and you have your front row.
This is very kool to watch. I and two friends were there that weekend. Hold onto that film, it's golden!
Thanks for uploading this, love this sort of footage. Glad Greg got out alive.
