Yeah, it very well could be that it's sort of a cover-up that Ruby is the child of Summer and Qrow, and the whole Half-sister thing is evidence to steer people off the path. I think it makes sense for Qrow to be Ruby's father, but at the same time, what does the reveal that Qrow is Ruby's father do to the show? It's certainly an interesting revelation, but not one that's plot-shattering. I feel like there would have to be something more about Qrow, maybe that he passes something down to Ruby a la Summer passing down her Silver Eyes, but after all this time we haven't seen a tiny hint toward anything like that. Everything just points to Taiyang being her father and that Yang and Ruby are half-sisters... ...Unless RAVEN IS RUBY'S MOTHER!

Im commenting super late and haven't seen volume 9 yet but imagine a scene where salem manages to somehow strip Ruby's silver eyes power away from her and her eye colour changes into what it otherwise would have been, AND ITS QROWS EYES. Honestly the imagining is so good ill be devastated if it doesnt happen.

I think that I may have an Idea for Oscar's Semblance and it's called Blink which is a Teleportation style Semblance that allows him to Warp around the Battlefield for Unsuspecting Attacks and Quick Getaways. And that’s my Semblance Idea for Oscar Pine.

Another point to this theory is how similar Qrow and ruby are visually, Ruby is literally the spitting image of Qrow and Summer combined. When we see Summer for the first time her hair is quite a few shades brighter than Ruby's, so where did Ruby get her darker hair from? Certainly couldn't be from the bright blonde tai, but Qrow has that dark grey hair, a color that when combined with summers red would absolutely create Ruby's dark red almost black hair. Then when you look at Ruby's abilities she's literally Qrow's scythe skills with what can be assumed to be summers semblance and personality. Ruby is just too much of a combination of Qrow and Summer for her to not be their daughter.

One note about this theory, I think that Ruby KNOWS that Qrow is her bio-dad, But she also knows that Tai was the one that raised her, so HE's her Dad as far as she's concerned. In fact everyone in the family knows, they just don't talk about it because it simply doesn't Matter to them. Qrow Cares about Ruby, but he and everyone else in the family sees him as basically just the "Sperm donor" for Tai and Summer's Kid. Because we have to remember that Summer WAS actually in a couple with Tai, at least as the role of Parents (If not Romantically), for a while. We have to remember that Summer was Yang's Mom too, we know that for a fact because Yang told us as much: "Baker of Cookies and Slayer of Monsters". There's also a few other Parts to this theory that Add up. - Like how Ruby didn't take her Father's Last Name, but Yang Did. (I figure that was just so that people wouldn't Ask Tai why he's raising his Ex's Brother's Daughter, and they didn't want to actually lie about her linage, so they gave her her Mother's Name, If nobody Asks, you can't Lie, and if they do they can say something that is TECHNICALLY true but dodges the intended question, like "We just felt it Fit her better". And Yes I'm Aware that it's entirely possible that they just named her "Rose" to fit with her first name for the sake of the Colour Naming Convention... But then again "Xiao Long" can mean "Little Dragon" Or "Dawn Dragon", so it wouldn't really take away from that convention, a "Ruby Little/Dawn Dragon" is still exclusively about the colour Red, Since Dragons don't have specific Colours and the Dawn IS Red sometimes) - If he isn't Ruby's Bio-Dad, it's Slightly Odd that he has such a Close relationship with his "Honorary Niece" but not his ACTUAL Niece. Seriously, Dude Barely talks to Yang, he has 1 Scene with just her in the whole series and it's about helping her find his sister... The fact that he's Ruby's Mentor doesn't really explain the Gap in how he treats the two either. He's Almost Warmer with Weiss than he is with Yang! -The MOST Damning Piece of Evidence is from Qrow's Song "Bad Luck Charm" where one of the lines says "You don't want the burden of my name", There's only 3 ways a person can give their Name to others, Marriage, The name is a Title that can be inherited, or being their Parent. Qrow ain't Married and He doesn't use a title so that leaves 1 option, and there isn't a hundred Candidates for who he could be talking about...(And before anyone tries to say "it's just a Song, it doesn't mean anything", No. Every Song about RWBY, particularly the ones about specific Characters have been used to Convey information about those characters to the audience, even before things get revealed in the show. Neo's "One thing" and Ironwood's "Hero" both told us way more about their respective Characters than the series ever did itself, though the Series confirms what they say if you pay attention.) That's why it always sounds a bit odd to me when people say that "It would be too Traumatic for Ruby" or "Why Keep up the lie?" or "It Gets harder and harder for them to tell her the truth"... Because to me, everybody already knows, there's no reason to hide it, Ruby HAD Loving Parents and Qrow Still stuck around as much as he could afford without risking them with his Bad Luck, so it's not like he abandoned her, he just left her with people he KNEW would be Better parents than himself, one of which is her actual Mother... To use a Fairly Well Known quote: "He(Qrow) May have been your Father, but he wasn't your Daddy(Tai)"... If they ever Confirm this theory, I'd wager it would come at Qrow's Deathbed as Ruby Holds him, and she tells him as he's dying "Thank you for bringing me into this world Uncle Qrow.", Both Confirming the Theory that he's her Bio Dad, that she knows, and that he's still just her uncle to her.

Roman's semblance was that glass thing Neo is always seen doing, if you go back and watch the first three seasons again you'll see that Neo only ever did it when she was with Roman proof of this is when Raven attacks her on the train she doesn't use it rather she turns herself invisible yes she can do that you even showed a clip of her doing it and hind til Raven left making it seem like she teleported something she can't do and if you're wondering why Neo didn't kill Yang after Raven left if she was still there its because Neo knew Raven was a maiden and as seen when she was fighting Cinder, Neo knows she can't beat a maiden so not wanting Raven to come after her she chose to not kill Yang and stay hidden and before you say "Neo uses that glass thing all the time in later seasons after Roman's death" she's just copying it as a way of remembering Roman just like how she wears his hat. Also as for how he got away from team rwby after the mech fight, roman has been shown to be really fast many times so he just ran and likely gave neo a pigging back ride as shes not as fast as him also to debunk roman being able to teleport there's three things one we always see him running away something he wouldn't need to do if he could teleport two if he could teleport then the whole thing with the train wouldn't have been needed as he could have just teleported onto ironwoods ship at anytime and three he wouldn't have needed neo to brake him out of his cell if he could teleport so all sighs point to him not being able to teleport. Also if you're wondering how neo could have know raven was a maiden its because she likely had a run in with her in the pass based on the fact she knew what a maiden was when she saw cinder use her maiden powers meaning she had a run in with one in the pass it couldn't have been the winter maiden it likely wasn't the fall maiden so unless it was the fourth unmet maiden it would have to be raven as neo fears no one in a fight besides maidens as there just too powerful for her thats the only reason she stopped trying to kill cinder if cinder didn't have or show that she had maiden powers neo would have just killed her and the whole show would have been better off with cinder dead and i guess neo would also become the new fall maiden maybe depends on how old neo is i think the max age someone can be to become a maiden is likely 26 it depends on how old raven is since she became a maiden ten years ago so if raven is 36 now then she would have been 26 when she got the powers and winter looks like shes in her early 20s maybe 22 or 23 so the limit to how old you can be is likely mid 20s as we know only "young" women can become maidens and 26 is the age were i would stop calling someone young so 26 feels about right for the cut off point

They killed off all of the excellent characters or simply stopoed showing them to put that really freaking annoying girl in bicycle shorts from the freaking annoying Aesops in there. Changed a lot of characters' personalities and character, to their detriment. The writing after the first three seasons sucks utterly. Ironwood is wonderful good or bad or both - but they have a lot of making up to do otherwise screw this show I will just watch The Great episodes and the chibi shorts from the old days. Roman Holiday was fantastic writing. What could have been for the show... Barely have any hope. His semblance could have been teleportation - that would be cool; also it would be cool if he was some kind of Phoenix semblance person - reborn of fire. That would make him pretty formidable in this world.

I see how it works and I love this theory but, (from this I gather that you arn't a parent) if you had your first child who was always tenashious and is a really exuberant person and then have your second child who is more timid and has less of a fighting spirit than your first born you will be enclined to try to protect that second child and knowing ruby Tie probably knows that ruby will try to leave if she found out about her silver eyes and all that is going on in the world he will do everything in his power to stop it but he also has a large amount of trust in crow (as you said) and I love this theory but in the end it just doesn't pan out (I love the work you put in to this and I really enjoy hearing your thoghts)

Hole in your theory Rwby is canonically born on halloween. So if Yang was born in January then the sisters would still be technically 2 years age difference. But closer to 3 years in actual time. Not only that but it’s not like Tai is completely a stranger. Summer and Tai were teammates. They spent years going to school together, growing closer. We’ve seen with our two main teams. RWBY and JNPR, that the bond created by a huntsman team is extremely strong. Even just a couple months. So the argument that Tai just hopped into Summers bed is asinine.

Interesting theory. I hope that this is both true and untrue because of the state the Rwby series is in I would rather read a Torchwick Fanfic than whatever else they would do to him in the show. On the other hand more Torchwick is always a good thing, guess we'll just have to see.

This would be a fun Semblance, especially if you combined it with their original idea for his Semblance "Deep Pockets"; he can teleport in-between locations through tiny pocket dimensions, like he uses his hat or jacket as a source spot and disappears inside them to reappear where a second hat or jacket are.

It's a good theory, sorry but it kind of falls apart when in the volume 7 commentary the writers tell us Roman was meant to have Fiona's semblance (basically having a pocket dimension) but they scraped it. Also Neo can make people invisible. On the train fight with Yang she gives the illusion of teleportation to escape from Raven by possibly making herself invisible, we know Neo can't teleport so this is the only logical explanation. There was no way for Roman to know Neo needed help and he was getting beaten by Blake. Also if he could teleport why did he need Neo to break him out of Ironwood's cell in volume 3. With the point about blake I feel like being held at knifepoint isn't that scary when you have aura. I don't mean to dishearten you tho, I love hearing theories and hope you make new ones, the evidence you put in the video was convicing but it doesn't work when considering other points.
