Joe I'm with you on your analysis but I thought ND was the #1 pass defense but they sure didn't look like it against USC. I hope the coaches work on that but most teams don't throw 49 passes in a game. USC was pretty much pass happy which ultimately led to their demise! Joe another point that needs to be made and that is ND on both sides of the ball are playing with a handful of back-up players due to past game injuries. Imagine if they had all of their 1st stringers back in the game.
@@docsavage6024 yeah USC definitely had success in the air. That’s something to watch going forward for sure. Yeah if they were totally healthy they would be incredible.
As a Redskins fan I've just been watching the Bears from a distance, but I have to say Williams is looking almost impressive now when he hits whatever button he's using for the second halves. Just some fine tuning remains, more situational coaching to avoid him going blank in emergencies and maybe hitting that button at some point before halftime now and then. Anyways, no idea why Flus wasn't fired after last season to set things up better for the rookie. With that pick and all the talent, you could be having almost anyone on that sideline right now calling plays, and instead you stuck with Matt Eberflus, who is objectively speaking a gigantic loser. Harbaugh. Quinn. Bellichick. I mean it could be anyone else right now.
Most of that endgame situation falls on Caleb. Didn’t get the team set first of all then secondly throwing the ball deep ate the rest of the clock. If he would’ve completed it you would’ve needed the time out to get the fg unit on the field so it was right of the coach not to use the timeout. Caleb made the wrong decision to throw it deep instead of getting enough for the first down. The coaches fault is not preparing the team for situational football
But not getting Caleb Williams ready for these situations is also on the head coach. That's his job, and probably what training camp is for. To me all of this is on Eberflus. He's just not a viable head coach. No sideline abilities whatsoever AND can't get his players prepared. You don't just randomly blow ends of games like this. Not the first time this season, is it?
When they relied on a rookie to get that call in and get everyone set in an environment that loud…fire everybody. There was 8 seconds remaining when the entire offense was set
First quit with the rose colored glasses with Caleb Williams, he has just as much to clean up as the rest of the team, and to say the rest of the team is letting him down is a bit ridiculous and in the end his bad decision making lead to the sack that ultimately gave the football back to the Vikings in OT and wasted the momentum you created with that awesome closing sequence in the 4th quarter. 1. He had a QBR of 103.1 which is good, but he shouldn't be passing the ball 47 times a game, that makes the offense look one dimensional and teams will plan for that, you have to do better then a 320 to 78 passing/rushing split. 2.) Santos kicking is rooted in playing soccer, he is very accurate but the way the ball hits of his foot is odd because of the background, and you know this, and know other teams know this, yes he can try to change some little things to make things better, but the line should be doing a better job of containing, because you know how teams are going to try to block your kicks. 3.) For all the talk about the defense, its like there taking step backs as the offense is moving forward without Shane Waldron, in past weeks the defense was stout and the offense couldn't deliver, if we got todays performance in one of those weeks we would have had an easy W, but for whatever reason this defense has gone very porous and is wasting the strides the offense appears to be making.
In USC’s 5 losses this season, the average margin of the loss was 3.8 points and the worst loss was only by 7 points against Minnesota. #4 Penn State only beat USC by 3 pts in OT at USC. All of USC’s other losses were in away games. ND cannot take this team lightly, but I would love it if ND won by 21+ pts at USC in this rivalry game. That would make for a nice comp vs Penn State for the Committee to consider. It could also silence some of ND’s critics, altho likely not.
Playing at 3:30 I think helps ND. Plus it's 2 days after Thanksgiving. I feel like the crowd won't be there like they would be at night. I think there will be tons of empty seats.
I love the 'critics'.. the lads need bulletin board material to stay hungry, stay motivated to prove the prevailing ESPN narrative wrong and maybe go win this dang thing this postseason. 😎☘
Josh Giddey and Ben Simmons are the same player. What the hell is going on in Australian basketball? Is the rule down there that only Patty Mills can learn to shoot?
Think they made a good point on the broadcast that they could try an alley oop and it could count with a tap. So if they get that and a foul it could have gone bad for the Bulls. But that's the only reason to try and miss
Ima let you know you have Army in the thumbnail
great catch, much appreciated.

GO IRISH 🍀🍀🍀
I took ND and gave the 7.5 points for this one, but I really hope that USC can beat the Domers. Fight On!
My Thanksgiving was great here in Detroit.

Man just when you think you have seen it all. Coach dead man walking......Caleb you deserve some of the blame also

Obviously not a bears fan but man, that’s a fireable offense 😂
Williams has to be smart and call a time out or throw the ball earlier

It was all part of the script!!
Crazy bra rigged 😢😢
With better coaching this team would be 8-4 and in the playoffs.
To go on like that with this HC is giving the finger to your fan base. You HAVE to do something.
Wish the ownership felt the same way. Maybe they will surprise us.

The defense hasn't missed a beat with all the injuries....just a awesome sign
You okay Joe?
got cooked by drake 💔
Two Drakes.
I have one argument I have to say that the drops on offense were also a big negative
Totally fair point. Drops not an issue because of the opponent now but they gotta clean that up
Thank you on the comment about the fake pun I thought the same thing why are we using this
GOOD AFTERNOON BROTHERS AND SISTERS I'M JUST SAYING I'M FROM CHICAGO AND MATT EBERFLUS NEEDS TO BE FIRED PERIOD STAY BLESS AND BEAR-DOWN CHI-TOWN 😊
Cardiac bulls is such a great description for this team 😂
great game, tons of action - chi and clev shot the lights out
GG Bulls. you guys have a solid young team. Give Cavs a tough game.
Caleb is terrible
I was so glad the Chicago Bulls finally got the win in the 2024 NBA Season.
Zach was killing they just stopped passing him the ball
Josh Giddey and Ben Simmons are the same player. What the hell is going on in Australian basketball? Is the rule down there that only Patty Mills can learn to shoot?
Giddey made the last shot because he new it’s literally impossible to make an inbounds pass and get a shot of if 0.3 seconds or under…

He threw it so far you would have thought the defense would have moved back.
I will be listening nightly
