Helping you navigate your higher education journey.
Helping others gain the tools and skills to succeed in college is what inspires me. That’s why I post helpful advice on this channel to help you navigate through your higher education journey.
I am a lifelong higher education student who failed over and over until I finally found the secret sauce to success in school. I am a college graduate with eclectic interests, who has attended 4 different universities and participated in 6 different undergraduate programs. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Minor in Computer Science in 2024, and I collectively earned enough credits to have obtained two Bachelor's degrees. I can teach you how to get into college, all of the life hacks and study hacks I learned throughout my academic journey, and if you are already a student, I can help you succeed in your program and earn that degree.

FAFSA Form: Watch This Before Applying! | Financial Aid Quick Guide
What if I submitted the fafsa form with only 1 contributer? Since I needed both parents to do the form. I was not able to add another contributer to my form
As far as filing with a parent (one or both), you may need to consult another resource, I am only familiar with the process for Independent students. For example, search for "Add contributor to FAFSA 2025 2026" in Google or "Dependent student FAFSA guide" :) Happy Navigating!
How do we find the student aid report?
Just to clarify, do you mean your Student Aid Index?
@WhatILearnedinCollege it used to be called SAR or student aid report... I can't find it anywhere now so I guess its SAI now??? Wats in the student aid index?
I believe you see an estimate of the SAI on the page that appears once you have successfully submitted your FAFSA.
Hi mam I did at but my status is in progress please can u help me what should I do??
In Progress: You provided your consent, approval, and signature to your section of the FAFSA form, but the FAFSA form has not been submitted yet. If you have parents using their own FSA ID to fill out their portion, I believe you have to wait until they submit theirs to have the status show as "In Review". You might need to do some research on this topic because I am not knowledgeable about anything to do with the parental side, I apologize!
Hi , i was wondering why they didn’t ask to put your parents IRS information ?
Hi! So this guide is meant for Independent students, or those who will not be inputting their parents' financial information. If you are filing as a Dependent student, you may need to consult resources other than this video to ensure accuracy.
@@WhatILearnedinCollegewhat are the resource other than this video
@@Despairing.post3 I don't have any particular resources that I would recommend off of the top of my head, but you might want to try doing a Google Search for something like "FAFSA 2025-26 with parent's information". You can also contact your target school's Financial Aid department to see if they offer any FAFSA help in the form of webinars, tutorials, or in-person events. You'd be surprised what some schools have to offer!
@ I got it I figure it out
Hi Sarah! Do you mind if my Counseling Team share this with our seniors and their parents? You are the only one who has the current 2025-26 FAFSA Application Guide and this is extremely helpful!
I do not mind at all! Glad to be of assistance! 😊
Is the Estimated SAI shown at the end visible only if the parent has also submitted their FAFSA form?
The SAI should appear after your FAFSA Form has been submitted when filing as an Independent Student. As far as whenever you are filing with your parent's financial information as a Dependent Student, I would assume that it's the same, however I cannot say for sure since I only have experience with Independent status myself.
about to follow this step by step thank
You're welcome!
Damn son u finna graduate?
The issue is, no one care about what school you went to after you landed your first job. I didn't go to any a'd started my career as an underpaid technician, now, with no special degree I have a very comfortable job and have among the best pays in the business.
Awesome! Good for you, thank you for your comment! 😊
