Peacocks can fly. They are seen resting on trees. I have seen peacocks flying in Gujarat and Rajasthan
Amazing Animal Wonders Of Africa!🦬🦓🌄🌍
No, they just can't see good in sunlight..
They stare at you and make decisions like we do with our vision.
A flightless parrot with a mischievous nature, seriously? Had to clutch at a straw to flesh it out to 5? Might as well as have added a drunken cricket team in a pub after losing a match!
😂. Except it’s not flightless. It swoops down on you and distracts you while it’s mate ties your shoe laces together. Highly dangerous.
Nice❤❤❤❤
A magnificent example of poorly researched sensationalism. 1. The katipo is limited to a very small area of coastline on the west coast of NZ (no record of fatalities since 1923), and one has to work pretty hard to find one. 2. The sea snake sometimes reaches the far northern point of NZ from northern oceanic areas, and there might be up to 6 sightings in a year. 3. There has never been a report of an attack by a kea on a human - humans (mostly tourists) are endangering them by feeding them though - perhaps this is a nod toward the most dangerous creature in NZ - humans? 4. Seals, like any animal will definitely protect its territory, much like humans... unlike humans protecting their territory, there are no reports of seal related fatalities in NZ. This vid was amusing, and reinforced my view to what lengths some people will go to make a bit of money. Sadly, the misinformation will get circulated as fact about these animals that can be found in (unspecified numbers and areas of) NZ.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and for your insightful feedback. I appreciate your perspective and the information you've provided. Regarding the katipo, I understand your point about its limited habitat and the rarity of encounters. My intention was to highlight its presence rather than suggest a widespread danger. It's a good reminder of the importance of context when discussing wildlife. Your note about the sea snake is well-taken. Their rare appearances in New Zealand waters are indeed an interesting phenomenon, and I agree that their threat level may not be as significant as I implied. With the kea, I appreciate your clarification. The focus on human impact on keas is a crucial aspect, and I regret if my video suggested otherwise. Raising awareness about how we can protect these unique birds is important. And regarding seals, your point is well made. The comparison to human territorial behavior puts it in perspective, and I agree that emphasizing their general non-aggressive nature towards humans would have been more accurate. Your comment has highlighted some important aspects that I may have overlooked or not emphasized enough. I strive for accuracy and engaging content, and feedback like yours is invaluable in this process. I'll take these points into consideration for future videos to ensure more balanced and informative content. Thank you again for your constructive criticism and for contributing to a more informed discussion about New Zealand's wildlife.
And just 1 last point. I do not make any money from youtube Yet! :)
Thanks for the response. I must apologise for my cynicism, as I find so many poorly researched articles. Looking forward to seeing your channel growing, and pleased to see that you'll be considering context and clearer information in the future. "Yet" is a promising word, and will happen as you fine tune this channel! 👍
❤❤❤
The most dangerous creature in Aotearoa New Zealand is humans.
Makes good squirrel dumplings. Yum.
That's right, respect the other creatures
Tree rats..
Here’s another “fun fact”: that first animal is a chipmunk.
Nature's little superheroes taste great!
You got that right!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Interesting
lol im nearly 60 never seen a sea snake here . both those spiders are pretty much harmless and keas really . as for seals they are the same in every country just give them room and all good . i have a sense of humour but this list is kinda bs ...
as a kiwi I do not consider any of these animals dangerous. If your stupid enough to approach a Sea lion/ Fur seals you deserve to get bitten and you will likely never see a sea snake or Katipo spider. Unless you actively look for them and even then chances are you likely wont come into contact with them.
Thanks for your insight as a Kiwi! You're right, the chances of encountering these animals are quite low, and respecting their space is key. My aim was to educate about potential dangers, especially for those unfamiliar with NZ's wildlife. Appreciate your perspective! 🌿🇳🇿
What about sharks?
❤️
The Mexica (Aztec) called them "tzin-tzuni" which is onomatopoeic like "boom" or "bang", so it sounds like when hummers fly back and forth. And there's a Mexican city called Tzintzuntzan meaning "place of the hummingbirds".
Excellent information! Thank you.
"...studied by all who take delight in them..." Psalms 111:1-2 ✅
Never heard of "Aotearoa"
That is ok, it was known as that for a number of centuries before it was "discovered" and given a name, because the people already here were of no importance.
What a load of crap. No wonder there are so few subscribers...
Your chapters list says catapult spider. They are Katipo. I've never seen a sea snake and have lived by the coast most of my life. Seals are only dangerous when they have pups or you get between them and the sea. Dont bother our creatures and they wont bother you. Nothing here hunts you.
So true. Dont bother them and they wont bother you...very well said.
The sea snake is very rare, if seen do not approach. The colder waters around NZ mean they are usually dying. They arrive coming down on warmer streams of ocean from the tropics.
Dems my boys.
Snake and kea pose no threat to people in nz
i hate whitetail spiders, they are creepy as hell.
Sea snakes can be seen in NZ but it is very rare , sometimes they get lost and end up there
they are classed as native.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊
These are our best friends in nature. And u talk about wild pigs lmao. This is your answer. They will organize it all.. Kevin:
