This was fun to watch. Thanks for sharing this with us. Happy holidays.
So beautiful
I am Brazilian and lived in London for 17 years. Unfortunately London has changed a lot for the worse. I think after the pandemic it got worse. I moved to Chester 3 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. In my opinion, if you have a family and are not a millionaire, it is better to leave London. I didn't have the money to buy a house in neighborhoods that I like like Wandsworth common, Wimbledon, Balham or Putney so I decided to move.
Retired American who has lived in Budapest for 15 years. My husband of 50 years is Hungarian. We raised our son in the states and moved to basically live without working. I am never bored in Budapest although we used to go out more when we were younger;Summers are hot but we have lived in Ca, Hawaii and NV so used to summers being hot. Spas in summer are reasonable, we go about 3 times per week in summer of go to the lakes. As one ages it is more fun to stay around home or take things slower. Years ago we would divide our time 6 months in Hungary and 6 months in Las Vegas. We are no longer very social although we know many Hungarians from the US who have also moved to Hungary to retire. Friends are over rated.
I was living in London until recently, I just found it to be overpriced, low salaries and lonely.
Good to learn about the prawns and cons 🦐
sin city ;)
I can’t afford groceries right now, tf you talking about?
No
You must be what, late teens, early 20's? You need all the things you just said people don't need more than what you think people should have to be happy. Happiness is for children, grown ups only have responsibilities.
What a beautiful girl! ❤ Please God, send me a wife like her 😅😊
Can you give us an update This is an eight month old video much is changed in London. Are you still living there?
Thanks for asking! I’m living across Europe now, but a London comparison video might be coming soon-stay tuned! 😊
Budapest is great to visit as a tourist. But I can't think a a rearon to stay long term.
Loves London, but hates the English elements. mmm...
I must say you can’t even compare Budapest to London if you’ve been to both. Hence why London is such an expensive city
Sure there is eveything available -- if you can afford to enjoy it. Bring money, lots of money!

I've been living in London for 12 years and clicked on this video out of pure curiosity...I've lived in North London and Central London. To add, you forgot about all the free museums and cultural events as a pro. As a con, my childcare costs are 2.5k a month for nursery.
Budapest's SAFER than London, Berlin, Paris, Stockholm etc. you know why. Budapest is not run by liberal trash.
Never again, London! NE-VER!! I've already been there many times and NE-VER again!! 😄 Budapest 100% (or Prague! 😉)
Thanks for sharing! I'm trying to decide to move to Melbourne Australia or London

Having Orban as a president is a big reason to not go to Hungary.
Because he did something significant which your woke western governments failed to do. He secured European borders from his side and he ditched EU migration plan. Thanks to him in hungary we can't sub saharan or pa jeet immigrants who alaways dedicated to ruin civilizations. May be there few sub saharans and pa jeets but their stay less than 1 year and alaways Hungarian police know about them also can be deport at any time
Atleast you dont get stabbed or bombed. And no sharia law in Hungary unlike London.
Born and bred in London left in 86 and would not return, too expensive. All my old mates upped sticks and left.
Hey, love to see Polish people moving to Hungary, love you all, you people are the best! I used to live in London, like yourself and had the same problems with it you did, except for the weather, which I think is vastly superior there. I really can't stand the 3 months of burning hell we get here in the summer and winters are colder than in London, which is another minus. The rest I agree with.
Great video! I’ve never been to London but I get the sense of more diversity, people are more open more extraverts, bigger city with skyscrapers, giant bridges and perhaps less bumpier roads than in Budapest. But I wouldn’t know until I’m there in person. You’ve got a very cool perspective on Budapest nonetheless! :) I’m curious to know what is your favorite part of Budapest?
Definitely you need to check out London yourself! I am still discovering Budapest but soon I will be able to decide what is my favourite part so stay tuned!
and yes the city is VERY walkable and it only takes about a couple hours to get your bearings - Vaci Utca and the Jewish Quarter were some of my favorite areas! I had spent the last 3 summers traveling thru Sweden, Norway, Finland and got used to 25% sales tax that when I went to Budapest, I completely forgot about the price of goods that I literally had to double check my receipts because I couldn't believe how cheap things were. The button up dress shirts I picked up at C&A cost me an average of 10 to 15 USD and back home I would easily pay about $100 USD for the same item. Everyone was super nice and accommodating to me. Lastly...the Szechenyi Baths! Spent the entire day there and everyone seemed to be relaxed and living it up!
Team Budapest!! I had a bad ass time over there! Would go back in a millisecond!

@@xst-k6 It’s subjective!
For me it took longer then 30 days but from 6 weeks onwards I started experiencing hugely improved mood and joy that had not been there before. I think sometimes it’s easy to miss the fact you are no longer depressed after quitting sugar as the recovery is coming on so gradually but when the feeling of normality starts transforming into the feeling of euphoria you definately notice things have changed for the better and from my observation that kicks in after week 6. Also, I never gave up eating fruits, only refined sugar and was watching carefully if other things I eat contain sugar or not
@@Matt-iy2cf I should definitely try it for longer, thank you for sharing!

Accommodation is much better in London. Endless apartment blocks with swimming pools , gyms….. if you want modern. So much variety, I lived in the riverside quarter Wandsworth and took the Uber boats to work. Great place. Expensive, but you need a good salary in London. That’s what London is about though. Dream big, endless opportunities. All the talent leaves Budapest. Impossible to find good staff. Only the lazy left. British food is amazing, Not cuisine. All the gastro pubs are booming, especially in Islington , upper street area. Great selections of hand dived scallops, Scottish salmon, aged beef, langoustine. Modern British is booming, Msny creative chefs. Even British pubs have Michelin stars now. London one of the greenest cities globally. London parks way ahead of Budapest. Richmond park, Hampstead Heath, Greenwich park, Primrose Hill. Peaceful walk: Little Venice, through St John’s Wood, into Regent’s Park , up to Primrose Hill, then onto Hampstead Heath, Hampstead village and finishing in Highgate. All day walk incredibly peaceful. Much busier city though. Really like Budapest but I think it’s a little overrated. It’s on all lists for most beautiful this , most beautiful that. Yes , the tourist parts are pretty great but overall city a little rundown.. Old malls, basic parks, homes look rundown, especially gardens. Hottest moment in my life , was at the Budapest open (tennis ) in 35 degrees. Lovely venue along the river. Coldest time in my life was watching ice hockey outdoors in minus 10 while drinking cold beer.
@@JohnSmith-sm7ez I love that everyone has their unique opinion! I can see how London can be appealing to people so it is all about finding the best place for yourself :)
Interesting video. I'm a Londoner. I've never been to Hungary. I have heard from some people who have, who are not white-skinned, that there is an element of overt racism in Budapest. They were sitting on a park bench and some locals asked them to move because they didn't want to sit next to a dark-skinned person. It's not the only story I've heard either. I'm a white male and I hear great things about Budapest as a city but I'm not sure I'd want to take my black wife and mixed-race son to experience anything like the story I mentioned above. It's a shame really. Any thoughts on this? As white people, we often are oblivious to this sort of behaviour.
@@MrKeefy1967 Thank you for bringing this up! Definitely as white-skinned person I might have different experience but I’ll share more in my next video :)
Yes there s sheer amount of racism towards dark-skinned people but luckily I m a white people so I don't have to deal with it
@@watermelon3679 Just knowing it exists would make me not want to visit such an uncivilized place. Why would anyone who's not racist want to mix with such people? They don't deserve my time, effort or tourist money.
I'm Hungarian and I can confirm that there's racism in our country. It begins during childhood, but mostly not against afroamericans but over roma's, which minority is whidespread in Eastern-Europe. They've lost their jobs as they were replaced by robots and machines and a whole group has fallen into poverty. Some of these people became addicted to drugs or alcohol, they have a lot of children and because of their traditions, education is less important for them. I had a mixed-race classmate in elementary school, his father was from Africa, and his mother was Hungarian. He didn't have any problems in the outer district of Budapest, but I cannot prove the same in a small village school where more xenophobism can be experienced.
@@thpeti Thanks. Unfortunately, we also have racism towards those people - known as Travellers here (previously Gypsies) who originate from the Roma people. Their lack of integration into society doesn't help but like all racism, it's ignorance on behalf of the racists which is the problem.
