Such an important topic! As healthcare moves into the convenience of meeting patients online rather than in person, the clinician/patient relationship can become even more impersonal than it often already is. So much research has shown the important impact of that relationship on patient outcomes AND on the well being of healthcare professionals. Even with these tips, nothing can equal a personal, in person, caring & informative encounter between clinician and patient.
