How not to upgrade your jeep | Lifted 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ
Had some time to get a video edited up! Still have a lot of videos left. Thank you for watching and liking my videos. Working on being better about uploading. Hope all is well!
I've always thought the circle taillights looked cool ON JEEPS. However, we were hesitant to cut holes in the body. Thankfully, Max-Bilt has a none evasive solutions. So far the only issue we've had is referred to as hyper flashing. Hyper flashing after installation is caused from the LED drawing less power than the regular bulbs. Therefor the vehicle thinks the bulb is out because it is drawing less power than the factory bulb. This can be easily remedied with a resistor. I'll put a link in the description for the taillights and resistors. Ya'll have a good one!

I need to know about the little miscellaneous pieces of plastic underneath, I think they are dust guards for the wiring connections in the front, but I don’t know how they go back together
Not 100 percent positive on what you are looking at. Would it be the actual wiring harness or a mount?

Its dem taaars your steering is at extreme angles, or just get the quadruple shocked steering stabilizer, and caller a day. The dodge dokota, durango steering gear boxes are the direct for direct bolt on and hold up longer, and gotta extendo pitman arm to get the ol drag link down.
No. Never mess with pitman on a TJ unluss you are going to move the track bar along with it. Also, stabilizers dont "fix" anything. Its probably the caster is not enough.
Did we bleed the brakes? Lol. Glad you got your jeep dialed in. Pretty sure you probably regeared too. If so, what gears did you go with? Im about to start my TJ long arm build with a lot of welding. Im a newbie to welding too, so we'll see how that goes. Any tips?
Haven't re-geared yet. It's not super sluggish considering. Thankfully I didn't have to do any welding. Are you building it by scratch? By all means go for it.

I found some 40 inch tires I'm interest in but my wheels are 28s. The tire size for me would be 40x15.50r28. I was hoping it would fit without the lift modification and maybe adding some wheel spacers.

_A 1" wheel spacer would look more aggressive, but only get the hub-centric ones if anything. Most ppl don't run spacers because of the horror stories etc._

There are two different colors. One is a spice and the other it more of a tan. I should’ve gone with the spice color but the tan matched up good as well. The paint code is in the video. Forgive me I forget where in the video but it is in there. Thank you for watching!

Did you find that the SEM palomino was the better match for the lighter tan/camel interior? I've seen the SEM camel paint but heard it matches more of the spice/darker tan TJs. I have a Sahara with the tan interior and just want to revive it since it's sun faded and stained and your video is the only example of the palomino SEM paint that I've seen.
My interior is more of a spice color. The paint I used matches up fine but is more of a tan than a spice. If yours is more of a tan use the paint I used.
@@timkitz1675 I believe mine is more of a tan than a spice, but not entirely positive on that because I don't have anything to really compare it to haha. It's definitely a lighter tan in my opinion though, so I might go with the palomino paint color you used. Thanks so much!

@@maurocamilli93 Hello! I recently did! But unfortunately I had to use the SEM camel because I had issues trying to get SEM palomino. The camel is definitely like a dark spice and darker than the sahara tan. I didn't get to test SEM palomino but it seems like the better match from photos I've seen
Did you notice any front end sag?
I never noticed a sag. Didn't seem to change anything height wise. The truck is a 3500 which helped. Did also have a 1.5-2'' leveling spacer.
@@timkitz1675 Mines a 2500, but if yours is leveled and no sag, I should be ok as mines not leveled.
