Today we test out a 3” up pipe vs a full 3” turbo back exhaust on my car. All runs are done using the same tune file with no changes whatsoever to fueling, ignition timing, etc. All runs were also completed the same morning to try and have the most accurate apples to apples comparison between the two different styles of exhaust systems. I removed the stock muffler and sprung the EXUP valve open. Definitely louder than just taking off the stock slip on, also a lot deeper tone wise at lower rpms. Exup motor is still plugged in and I have not gotten any fi codes after a short ride around the neighborhood.

Boost is up and down
30 psi boost gauge doesn’t read correctly over 30 psi. Once it exceeds its internal map sensor it freaks out.

Dude, I remember when a GSR in a stripped CX eg hatch felt quick. You toss a K24A (JDM) block with K20A JDM on it. What you think guys right out the gate FBO got to be a 12 second car? My GSR in hatch INatje an exhaust throttle body not even tuned went 14.2 my first QM at about 0 elevation. Aired down an didny use street 2 step [ knew it was a no no anyways] went low 13.8. This EG an that k motor frank Flys. Wtf 😂 ppl toss same thing build turbo , what are you doing with your life dude. Something wrong with you😂 no joke

do you have to do any engine part upgrades on the car or is it no problem having it stock?
Should be fine stock. I ran a very aggressive launch setup on my stock b16 and b18c for a long time. Definitely use at your own risk ⚠️
I like how everyone back then said the plastic manifold woudlnt handle any real power and here we are. yeah it doesnt have the best flow but it heatsoaks less for daily driving.
Definitely. I’m pretty sure it would make more with a turbo that flows more but it’s still a bit of a restriction at that point. I do have plans on upgrading the manifold down the road.

Thanks man, my transmission's speedo sensor ring gear broke so I lost launch control from a dig - this will work good as a substitute until I get that fixed!

No it shouldn’t need to be saved prior to uploading. But it wouldn’t hurt to try and save a file as a different name and try to flash the file.
In order for me To use the Service connector switch as A Antilag. Does it have To Be On ON In the Security Tab on the parameters? SO the car Had Already been tuned By a local Tuner And I believe Has everything On the Security Tab as Unused

i did exactly your steps, I only got to use it twice.. but it stopped working even if I jump the service connector with a pin. Gauge and bulb are fine any ideas what it can be also checked fuses.
If the cel light is coming on when you jump the connector that means that the tune file isn’t set up to activate the launch control. Go to the launch control drop down, select the SCS, save the file, then re upload to ecu. That should work.

Awesome video! I just installed a FPR on my 14 STI..full bolt ons.. fuel pressure reads 32 psi when vacuum hose on. If I take it off .. it goes to 42psi. Car is bogging and running like crap. CEL code for system too rich. Did you set FPR to 43 psi with vacuum hose on?
I set it with the hose off. The psi will always increase when you pull the hose off the FPR or when you pinch the hose because you don’t have vacuum pulling on the diaphragm. I would double check the fuel pressure with a second gauge, I have ran into issues with the cheaper gauges reading 15-20 psi lower than actual.
@@tafuentes I have a nice gauge but a low AFR & a code for too rich means I need to turn down the FPR? Tuner told me to turn it down to 38

Yeah I was pretty surprised by the results. It seems if you want to make about 6-650 a full exhaust is still very okay to use.

What turbo are you planning to use in the future? Just seeing why people upgrade the oem fpr unless planning on running high boost. I don’t consider 20psi on our cars high.
Ended up going with a Pulsar Gtx3576

Where did you get the oem connector
I usually find them at the junk yard. Usually behind door panels on Honda accords or civics etc. I think there is a Honda “tool” I can try and look up a part number for you

Hi what kind of bit did you use for the screws on the factory regulator.
It was a #2 Phillips bit I believe. It is a real pain in the butt to get them to crack loose.

Were you tuned on the full exhaust? If you were it would make sense that you’re losing power with an up pipe. When I tuned open downpipe, I installed a e cut out and lost 30 hp with the valve closed (515-520hp). With the valve open, I was still making close to when I tuned with an open down pipe (545-550hp) Just an fyi, these Honda motors don’t like restrictions. Try tuning with that up pipe.
