I’ve done a lot of OEM agreements, and channel conflict was very rare when done right. Where I’ve seen a lot of channel conflict was with resellers. This year for example Google took a lot of business from their resellers, which really impacted the partnership. But in OEM typically a direct seller never even knows where the OEM is selling their products.
Hello TH-cam Star- I have watched all your videos. Your videos are very nice but there is some problem with your channel. Your channel is not optimized properly and your channel SEO score is very low due to which your channel is not getting good views. If you solve your channel problems, you will get many Subscriber views on your channel. Have a Good
It sounds interesting
Bob Rosin is such a badass, and was really good to hear his insights!
Great episode! As someone who works in the e-commerce space for a merchant, there are so many Shopify integrations that we use and without these strategic partnerships we wouldn’t be able to serve our segments. I specifically liked the conversation about weight classes, and how an org should try to partner with another org that’s 6 months ahead of them, or “1 marketing person bigger”. A partnership should benefit both parties, and I can imagine that comes from finding companies around the same level or slightly bigger. I’d love to know more about Shopify’s partnership strategies, and how they punch above their weight class to partner with orgs that are bigger than them.
Thanks again for having me on the show!
Pleasure to have you on the show, Clinton!

Love David's comment about a key OKR being "how much services revenue do we drive for our partners?"
Thank you for having me! Thoroughly enjoyed this conversation.

There are so many great insights here but here's one worth calling out: Ross Brown: "...There no greater wealth creation event than a turnaround and turnarounds are inherently leveraged by Partners..." (1:04:41) This from someone who has amazingly delivered turnarounds at some of the largest technology enterprises in our industry.
