Hi Kris I got these boots earlier than expected from a local dealer so I'm able to share some of my thoughts on the MII version. As far as sizing is concerned, the pair I bought is actually one and a half size down from my regular size. For MIJ Morelia IIs I wear size 10US/JP 280, for these I went for 8.5US/JP265. This is because I felt that the previous pair I had (the ones discussed in the video, which I went with size 9US/JP270) were just slightly sloppy and size 8.5 US/JP265 happened to be the only size available at my local dealer's. There are four points I would like to mention about the MII version. The lockdown, the material, the flaws and the sizing (about which I would really appreciate some suggestions, as I am hesitating whether to return them or not) First, are there improvements in lockdown? I suppose there are. The MII model has a suede lining at the heel, so with the super-snug sizing I went with, this suede material and the overall shape of the heel does seem to perform better than the made in China version mentioned in this video when it comes to locking the heel. Also with the snug sizing there does not seem to be a possibility for my feet to slip back and forth in these boots. As I walked around in those boots, I felt some slight slippage in the heel area, but they were not very noticeable, and my feet felt pretty secure with the laces tied tight. As far as I remember, this was quite different from the made in China ones, whose elastic collar made me feel extremely insecure and got my feet sliding all over the place. However I should mention that I haven't played in these boots yet, so whether this improvement is significant enough still needs to be verified. Also the heel remained very shallow, which does not seem to be a big issue to me up to this point, but nevertheless seems quite unnecessarily parsimonious. Second, I was interested in the material of the shoe's rear and tongue. Some claim that they are synthetic, I am totally okay with this conclusion because they do look very different from the material used in the toebox area. Personally I would say they are leather from a different part of the animal or leather that's tanned differently, because its section does not look as dense and neat as that of microfibre, and I think I see pores on its surface. Anyway it's just an unimportant point that's interesting to discuss. By the way you really smell the scent of leather when you hold the boots in your hand. The leather is soft and padded, which is something I really like, and it looks a bit similar to the leather on a MIJ Rebula 1 when you press it, so I am pretty happy with the leather quality despite it's most likely calfskin. These are the details people who pay a good price for Diadoras are looking for. Of course they aren't as premium as the Baggio 03s or the Match Winners, but hey, Diadora won't be able to make those anymore. Also for people who intend to try out the MII Brasil LTs, I had one of those and its calfskin leather was quite stiff and just wasn't as nice as this Brasil Elite Tech GR. There are definitely flaws with these boots I would like to mention. Number one, for people who have a high arch and want to buy these for performance or comfort, think twice. The construction of the MII version is pretty similar to the made in China version mentioned in the video, with short tongues that don't start until the third lacehole -- I just can't understand why. I guess Diadora has gone too confident with their shoe last because this restriction in the forefoot has made these boots really unforgiving. The area beneath this third lacehole is super tight and non-adjustable, which would not be the case should Diadora have adopted a more conventional lacing system. Number two, the tongue itself is rather narrow, so for people who have high-arched feet, there's a good possibility that the tongue won't be able to cover your instep area. The rear of the tongue is also pretty stiff and one would definitely have to try to get used to it because it sticks right against one's ankle. This tongue just runs short where it should offer adjustability and runs long where it really shouldn't be. Finally, sizing. I am actually a bit confused with the sizing and I can say for sure that these boots don't fit everyone, at least they definitely don't when you first put them on. At one and a half sizes down they fit me pretty well lengthwise and there is very little space at the tip, which is something I do like. The critical issue is that with the dumb lacing system it feels like torture when I put them on directly, so I had to take the insoles out. Without the insoles the length,width and overall space of these boots are just a fraction from perfection, so I'm really hesitating whether or not to return those boots -- without the insoles they really give me the feeling that a little bit of stretch is all that's needed to achieve the best fit, but it's just weird to wear shoes without insoles. I am actually pretty surprised about the fact that you barely feel the studs when you step on them without insoles, so it really isn't that uncomfortable. This is not generally the case with football boots so I guess that there must be a midsole in these boots to reduce the shock. My recommendation is that people with narrow feet and normal arches may consider buying these boots (just pay attention to go a full size i.e. 1cm or 10JP down if you want them to be the same length as the shoes you normally wear -- that is if your shoes fit true to size) while for those who have wide feet or high arches, the lacing system is going to trouble you hard. But since I have already bought them, I would really appreciate some advice on whether or not I should return these boots, considering the fact that they fit reasonably snug but currently can only be worn without insoles (otherwise it would be far too snug and pressurizing). Anyway thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing some suggestions on whether I should keep them or not : )

Is the sizing same as the copa mundial regular and not the made in Germany(don't know much about the mig)? I went half a size down in the regular copa mundial and it still stretched and became loose. US 9 in adidas synthetic uppers is perfect for me. I got regular copa nundial 8 1/2 which still stretched . My ideal copa mundial size would be 8. Should I get the red mania releasing tomorrow in 8 1/2 or 8?

Puma has really did a major comebakc with the ultras! I bought the catbon true to size and while i do love them, they caused a bit of cramping, and the stiffness was great, bjt the stud length was a tad much. Then i tried the ultra 5 ultimate and actaully managed to go down half a size with absolutely zero issues! Genuinley love them, and i noticed for me atleast they helm my heel way better vs the carbons. Regarding the mercs, did u notice thag the cosmic speed was tighter in the toe box vs standard colorways? That was my feeling tbh. I also tried the alpa mij which are great, and are basically a waaaay better version of an f50 concept.

This boot is ok. For me. Not that durable for really aggressive ag play, after 10 games already have some turf rubber bits between the front soleplate and leather. And the heel and studs are dangerous for ag with really snappy and aggressive turns and slides. It will be bad if a player strikes you exactly on the Achilles tendon can snap it off… Also the soleplate for ag is bit uneven and thus bit uncomfortable. Some studs are longer than others and AG specific soleplate is superior to this for AG play.

Idk . For AG it is not that durable. And the hell is really locking down too low and it is cracking my heels not nice for aggressive play on ag

Great review,looks a good boot ,told you about the ag soleplate it is superb ,just wondering about the width as I tried the cops pure 2 on and I could hardly get them on as they were very narrow ,I wouldn’t say I really like the colour way ,perhaps they should release a pink and black pair sorry a red and black pair 😂then I might invest in some .

I like them, I will wait for some more colors.

the only thing that i like about the new ones is the colors they're releasing. personally like them. but my 24's are in great condition so it's prob best to miss out. ty for the video

Hey man appreciate your completely honest review. Nice to see how you went into detail to explain these are intact a downgrade in many ways. The only reason I would buy these is if I buy the AG version (for the odd time during the season we have a game on AG fields), as I can see the new AG soleplate is a drastic improvement. But overall they didn’t seem to go in the right direction with this upgrade of the predator 25

Yeah, definitely break them in before a match. I Have these in ag (so slightly narrower) thought a 30-minute kickabout would be enough to break them in but unfortunately not the case. Wore them in a game last night and now my big toes are black and blue 😢

I think they changed the soleplate finish so it is just more plastic now because of what i heard and included myself had the soleplate starting to crack or the fancy finish is peeling off. I dont agree with you also that the 25 is worse than 24. But it is a personally opinion of cause. For my foot that is flat and a bit wide the 24 was a bit too snug including the heel for me. But 25 is so comfy and feels so soft and no time to break in. And the grip on the boot is a personally taste. But like how you are honest and sharing your opinion.

I own the pred 24’s (not FT but regular version), but same thing really. Watching this review of the updated version, I really appreciate your honesty! Me personally, don’t care too much about the colour but more how the boots perform. One day I’ll probably upgrade because I’ve heard the upper is a tad more mailable and soft which is good! But a pity they reduced the grip fins, that’s one of the best things about using predator boots. But looking forward to your playtest review of these!

I think your points are valid; I’d extend this to the quality issues with the 24 predators and their sole plate. I’ve been through 2 pairs both sole plates cracked after a few wears. I was expecting it to be upgraded and looks like nothing has been done.

Yikes. Is objectively disagree with almost all of this. Everyone had a different experience obviously and the info is always appreciated but idk this one seems way off the mark

Honest review, I wore mine today in an AG version which I've got to say are excellent, the soleplate is, imo is now up there and as good if not better than the nike AG soleplate, they are a bit stiff, so hopefully after time they will soften up, what I didn't like tho was towards the heel there was a bit of a gap, as if the fit wasn't quite right, perhaps if they had an extra lace hole to do a runners loop might eradicate the problem, my problem is if I played on grass I would definitely have bought the 24 ft version, but them studs are way too long for 4g,{I tried my boys pair and I felt unsafe in them) why adidas never done an AG version I don't know, I will give more feedback after a month or so, keep up the good work

To say your lost for words is an understatement, I've just bought these in the AG version (been waiting ages for adidas to do them) colourway has grown on me, they feel very comfortable on feet (just worn around the house) but I have 1 problem, I'm a black boot guy and supposedly the next colourway is black and red and grey stripes, so I don't know what to do, as in would there be an AG version in black, I have a game tomorrow so I was hoping to wear them in the warm up and perhaps play in them, so I feel your frustration as I also thought they were red as my team colours are and my country colours are, looking forward to the review👍

Joma is making great boots for less than half the price of other companies, they have many models, even some at less than 200 grams proper speed boots, their ag specific soleplates are some of the best on the market and their turf and indoor models run laps around most top companies. as for the heel counter, no matter how thin it is, I noticed it helps a lot with ankle stability, I never roll my ankle when I wear boots with heel counters, they feel a lot safer than the ones that don't have it, I've noticed the same thing in my running shoes.

Great review, right on the point when you talked about the lockdown issues with these boots, so I really felt the urge to give this video a thumbs-up. I wore these before and felt absolutely the same as you did, and I can guarantee to anyone who's reading this comment that these boots will fail to offer you even the slightest amount of stability when your feet are in motion. I have several Diadora boots and know very clearly that you'll have to go a full size down with Diadora's boots, but choosing the right size won't help resolve the catastrophic lockdown issue. What I am interested though is whether the made in Italy version would be more decent -- they seem to have a more traditional lacing system and heel, while the quality of Diadora's MII boots are just fantastic, so please don't hesitate to reply if you have any thoughts about this : )

Absolutely beautiful cleats. I just ordered myself some copa mundials in the OG colorway and I’m excited. I can only imagine what I would feel if i could get myself a pair of these. Thanks for sharing!

It’s weird that depending on the colorway the finish and grip is different. I have the black colorway with blue highlights and the touch and grip are perfect. Closest thing a synthetic has ever gotten to leather. I personally love the fly touch material but I do moss k leather as well. The durability has surprisingly been amazing for me. I actually just bought another pair of the exact same colorway for $100.

Diadora boots always have such decent materials that never seem to mesh right. Its almost as if they focus on all product development and no product testing.

Man, what a list, on one end the most advanced technological boot, on the other the most stone-age boot there is!

Nice honest review,Quality looks a big issue here ,if it goes like that after 3hrs that doesn’t bode well,sole plate is decent for grass but a nightmare for 3G ,my boy has the murky ones which happen to be my size ,dangerous for AG ,loved the original but it’s as if adidas can’t be bothered to make them just stand out that little bit better
