Torpedo wharf is a great place. It was where I first started when crabbing. Beautiful view of the GGB all year long.

Woohoo!!! I have the same rod! And you’re right on the guides. I have seen surface rust on one. I cleaned them as soon as I get home. I’m thinking of coating it with some type of clear coat that resists saltwater.

First off, use those pinfish as LIVE bait. They are resilient and a great bait. I wouldn't consider the Visibility great at only 10ft. Last but not least, that was not a pigfish, but a grunt with blue stripes. All together I still enjoyed the video.

Great video! I would definitely recommend eating a puffer fish they are my favorite fish to eat! You can eat them off the bone like a chicken wing.

Is this a good place to catch ribbonfish in late november/early december? I have been wanting to catch them for a while but I can never find them.

Enjoyed the content, I used to fish the pier all the time when I was in Pacifica. Definitely recommend heavier rod and reel at least an 8000 size reel. Also a heavy duty snap swivel to connect the snare to. #Tightlines

Careful try not to buy tension when fish is landed on pier. Most fisherman will open biel so line can be loose.

Awesome vid man! Bogue inlet pier was a mecca for kingfishing prior to this year. Absolutely massive cudas, kings etc coming over the rails. Hate they shut down traditional kingfishing there but you were pulling up some stud spanish

Hi! I met you in real life and you gave me a bunch of pointers and help with fishing. You taught me to keep the line tight when you are putting the line through the loops, you taught me to align the loops, that my rod was 2 part, and how to cast well! Thank you so much for your help that day, as I was able to catch my first ever catfish! Although, I have run into a new problem. My rod has stopped making the clicking noise when I pull on the drag, it does not reel in as smooth as before, and the bail is bent a little (although that's not really a problem). What might be the best course of action here? Should I take it to Bass Pro to get it fixed? P.S., Let me know when you are going down to the lake to fish again, I would be delighted to join you! We can schedule sometime this week or next week. I could really benefit from more advice and hopefully catch more fish! Thank you!

Some states prohibit this rig, be very careful and know your regulations. Some allow multiple lures but limit the one with hooks. So maybe 2 with hooks and 2 without. The umbrella rig is something that comes to mind. Just be certain of your states regulations
