DIY Pirate Ship | Pirate's of the Caribbean Halloween
One of my favorite times of year is the Halloween season. I decorate the house each year and build different props for the yard. I try to make the house a fun destination for trick-or-treaters. This year I built a pirate ship and a jail cell from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.
In this video I show how I built the pirate ship.

Thanks for letting me know.
Riders on the storm The doors x Snoopdog Love it Also where i live isn't snowing for 4 years😅
We are just NE of Charlotte, NC and it's 37 deg F here at 11:30 AM. It has been just raining all night. The frozen part of this storm is all well North of us near the Northern boarder of Virginia. We do get snow or ice a couple of times a year, but not this time. I'm a bit concerned about the next storm though, expected to reach here on Thursday and Friday. Charley
No one is talking about how hard it is to die with a pacemaker! A man tried to kill his father but the pacemaker kept shocking him to life. You can’t even die even if you want to. Hospitals and Hospice won’t shut it off. Use a magnet to stop it from running.
Dang, that is something to consider
65 yr old . Got my pacemaker dec6. Not to bad. Only few issues, seatbelt. Just like urself i grabbed what i could. Our male rottie 115 lbs loves to lay on my chest. ❤ it’s a change. Thank you for ur video
Hope you’re recovering well and feel better.

hi, I just came across one of your videos as I was searching for cyber security/pacemaker icd etc. I wanted to say thank you because I’m going to be watching all of your videos. I’m going to go back to the beginning and will be following you in the future. I’ve had problems with my heart since I was a child and will be getting my first pacemaker in 2025 as I have procrastinated way too long. I’m so afraid of the things I don’t know which is normal. So I will be watching and I do appreciate your videos. When I saw your first video along with some other peoples, I noticed that they didn’t follow up and I thought gee, I hope this guy follows up because if someone doesn’t.. you have to wonder if they made it. I’m glad that you’ve made it. I will be commenting more as I go through your videos in the next month and following up. Perhaps I will make similar videos, adding the cyber security side of things. I live downtown and they want me to have it connected to Wi-Fi and that scares me.. I’ve been studying cyber security for years. I had no idea I would need it for my own heart. if I could talk to you in person before watching any of your videos, I would ask if I have steel implants in my body will these things arc. Well this is long enough I should go. I bookmarked your page and will be coming back when it’s not 2 o’clock in the morning. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much.
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Going in for mine today 69 years old thank for video
I hope you’re recovering well and are feeling better.
Hey, when did he pass away and what was the reason? (Pacemaker failure?)
You lost me at the electronics part of the DIY. Im not an electrician!!!
If you go to frightprops.com they make it easy. You can get kits and they have instructions. I didn’t know how to make it work either before getting my stuff from them. Good luck with your project.
that is all l need to know to not get a pacemaker. my biggest fear is to feel it and if so l will drive me insane to the point of suicide so thank you for this vid
help me please, l have to decide if l will have one or not. can someone tell me if you can feel that you have a pacemaker like if you feel it in your body. please tell me ( do you feel it a little, or not at all) can you feel where the batterie is. can you feel something. this is my biggest fear. l can’t event stand a needle in my arm for a minute so please help me , l need to know
Fantastic job! I had a little girl suggest my next haunt should be Hocus Pocus so I’m in the planning stages. Thanks for the great ideas.
Thanks for watching. Hope you have fun building it, should be a good time next year.
Hi!pacemaker safe for chest ct scan?
Hey I have gotten my pacemaker implantation a month back almost, but internally the site has pain still.. I don't understand why , went to cardio doc prescribed neuro painkillers that's all .. any recommendations would be useful
Your presentations are extremely informative and helpful. I’m glad I found your site. Thank you!
Thank you for watching.
Thanks... I get mine in about 12 hours.😢
How are you doing now? Hope you’re feeling better and have a smooth recovery.
Pacers extend life expectancy. Why do you worry about early death?
I know, but it made me worry anyway.
Did you have an av node ablation
No, this was just how I was born.
I have to say so far My biggest concern or worst experience since I've had this thing installed is welding I had no clue it was going to affect my pagemaker when I welded and when I finally got back to actually doing stuff I had to put a muffler on my truck and I found out real quick let mig welding in close quarters is bad idea
I hope it wasn’t too bad.
Wish I would have seen this video before I got mine year and a half ago now almost 2 years would have been helpful for sure
Thanks for the feedback. I hope you are doing well now.
Can you feel the node or wires going into your heart chambers? I understand when they put them in a wire goes into your actual heart? can you feel that? is there any sensation that something is in your chest?
You can feel the pacemaker main unit under your skin, but not the wires in the heart, don’t even know that are in there.
This looks amazing and about to try this at my halloween party🤩 Just wondering about the recycling, where do you put it after you don't use it anymore?😯 Purely curiosity and wondering how i can do it!
If you have airtight glass jars or containers, and the safe place to keep them, we can reuse it year after year. If all the water does evaporate from the glass containers, it leaves a little glow in the dark film, and you can add more water next year. Hope you have fun at your party.
@@CyborgVlog Ohh nice okey! I will totally try and save them!😎 Thank you so much!😊
My fear is moving or twisting the wrong way and disturbing / pulling on the leads in the heart. Example I like to sleep on my left arm sometimes and use it like a pillow. I also like boxing. I fear these could be dangerous but I don't know. Particularly as I move into that position while I am asleep and not conciously controlling my body. Good channel by the way. Thank you
I used a sling as a reminder not to do things that would disturb the leads during the first few months. I wore it while I slept as well, during that time I mostly propped up on my back to prevent things like that from happening. After you’re fully healed you should have very few restrictions on what you do for exercise, but just check with the doctor just in case. I hope you have a speedy recovery and feel better.
@@CyborgVlog I don't have one yet thankfully. I have an AV block that is getting slower So I am just trying to understand what may happen in the future. Thanks for the insights
@kuntrasha if you do need one it isn’t that bad. After the recovery period you should be able to do things you want. I hope you are well, and best of luck in the future.
Still get scared of stuff 3 years later
Every once in a while, I still do too. I think that’s natural. Thanks for sharing and I hope you’re doing well.
Thanks once again! Day 4.6 after my surgery. My wound got a bit red and was ejecting fluid. It was cleaned and left with more breathing room
Thanks for sharing your progress. I hope you continue to heal well and are feeling better.
New subscriber but I wish I would have discovered you long ago. GREAT instructional videos! Thank you for your time and effort. You never disappoint!
Thanks for the feedback! I enjoy building these Halloween displays and I’m glad to hear you enjoy the videos. Thanks again.
Just got one 4 days ago still learning thanks for advice
Hi, thanks for commenting and sharing your experience. I hope you are doing well and feeling better.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I just got my pacemaker 48 hrs ago n so far so good! I’m from Costa Rica
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. I hope you have a speedy recovery and are feeling better!
How are you doing now brother?
Im 7 years now with pacemaker ❤
Hope you are doing well!
do i need a regulator for pnumatics or can i just use the air compressor psi knob?
You can use the compressor output to regulate the pressure if you only have one prop. A second regulator may be needed is you split the air line between two different cylinders that require different pressure to operate. I’d be interested to hear what are you building?
@@CyborgVlog Hi thanks so much for your help. I am 13 and am building a pnumatic jump scare skeleton. He will come out of a grave in the ground I built.
@jacystrains3306 sounds great. I started at your age with a simple ghost that popped out of a box using bungee cords a pulley and rope. Have fun building it and I hope you have a a good time scarring people this Halloween 🎃
@@CyborgVlog THANKS SO MUCH!
Starting out great already, so glad you’re still posting!
Thanks, it’s been a lot of work this year. Hard to balance work with my Halloween hobby that takes most of the year to plan and build 🙂🎃
What did you use for the tripod ???
3 wood poles used to brace trees after they are first planted. The sell them in the garden section of home improvement stores. Then I tied it together with natural fiber rope.
Great job!
Thanks!
You did such a great job!
I have been having the exact same problem with heart rate going up to 120 while sleeping. My doctors don’t seem to think it has anything to do with the pacemaker.
It took some persistence to convince my doctor. But the pacemaker tech found the feedback loop. Keep pushing it with your doctor and I hope you the best.
You have done it again! A great display. Should be good entertainment for the gremlins visiting.
Hi Charley, good to hear from you again! Thank you and happy Halloween!
@@CyborgVlog Yup, my heart and pacemaker are still running and no problems. A year and half ago I started taking Alpha Cyclodextrin (a supplement from Amazon - no prescription reqd.) and since I've been taking it I haven't had a single time when I needed to take a Nitro pill. My #2 son found this med after his heart attack (at 51) and stent insertion two years ago. It is supposed to keep plaque from building up, and also remove what is already there. I had been needing a Nitro pill about once a month to stop the beginnings of heart pain, and haven't needed to since I started taking this med. (Just something that might be worth you looking into). I went to my GP 3 weeks ago for a check-up on everything else, and she talked me into getting a flu shot (not COVID). Five days later I got the flue. I haven't been anywhere else, so it had to have come from the shot. It's now over two weeks that I've been sick with it. She will need to chain me down before I'll accept another flu or COVID shot. I'll take my chances from now on. I hate feeling like this. Charley
Looking good! 👌
Thanks
The long brown building to the right when looking out your window is Obsidian Dorm, where Xanterra employees who work in the hotels live for the summer season. I lived in that dorm during the summer of 1984. Thank you for an excellent review and for the memory of seeing my old stomping grounds.
It is truly an amazing place, thanks for sharing.
You are so talented!
Thank you, it was a lot of work but worth it.
You could mount your ghost (pumpkin) to a raindeer motor to make it orbit, but not rotate.
Good idea thanks for sharing
I'm 17 and I've got junctional Bradycardia, its genetic probably, I was recommended a pacemaker but currently I don't have amy syncopy that's why I've postponed it till I get any symptoms I'm not afraid of it but a little afraid pf the stinging pain during the injection of local anesthesia, and just a little afraid of the anesthesia not working , because I've gone through a procedure called electrophysiology when a catheter was inserted in my groin and I was under local anesthesia but it didn't work quickly and it worked like 2-3 minutes after it was injected and I was in great pain while the catheter was being placed I hope you're doing well man
Hi , I totally understand your comments, I had a pacemaker fitted in 2014, it was a worrying time, especially as I was having problems walking and climbing stairs, but 12 days after the procedure, I could do both without being breathless , or dizzy., while the procedure is a bit unpleasant , it’s well worth going through a bit of discomfort to get the result I got. My operation lasted just over four hours, because the surgeon was having problems getting the sinus lead in the right place, ( mine is an rct device).the implant lasted trouble free for 7 years then I had to have it done again because battery needed changing, this operation only lasted about 40 minutes because all the leads were already in place. So hopefully it’s going to be ok for another seven, if your having problems , don’t hesitate have one fitted,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m glad things improved for you. Hope you continue to do well.
A Pacemaker implanted to me on 05.Aug. 2014 (Just 20 days ago) Me , 74 now found good results after operation spends normal life, my only problem is still difficult to walk at least a short distance comfortably severe fatigue occur & make me fear. Please enlighte me afte meny I will become just a normal man having full fitness. Thanks....
Really really great! What type of PIR / sensor did you use for motion detection?
Hi, I’m using a motion sensor and controller from Frightprops.com. I’ve also been using a pressure mat for a trigger device for fewer false activations. Are you planning a build for Halloween? If so best of luck and let me know how it turns out.
I build my own controllers and last year I struggled with PIRs outside in the dark. So I'm going to try ultrasonic and microwave sensors. Yes I am 100% building something like this. I bought some pneumatic solenoids and air cylinders / pistons. So I have all the materials just need to pick something relatively easy to start.
@TheJoeFletch sounds like fun! I try to make a prop each year, but lately I’ve been building more elaborate facades and set pieces. With limited time I will probably repurpose one from previous years. Let me know how the new sensors work. Happy Halloween 🎃
Hi. Thanks for the updates. You have been an inspiration. I had my implant on May 12, 2023. I commented on my particular situation, three months ago. I went to follow up check ups, and there were some irregularities. I went to see an electrophysiologist, Tuesday, 2024- who rushed me to the hospital. Had surgery five days ago on Thursday the 15. The leads had to be removed and new ones implanted. It has been a setback for me. I feel sad. I’m happy to be alive, nevertheless, it has been quite a journey. Only the good Lord keeps me optimistic, if not for his love, and the prayers, I would be lost. Thank you so much for your sharing. Health to you.
Sorry to hear about your experience, I’m sure that was very scary and frustrating. I hope that your device is working better for you now and that you recover quickly. Best wishes.
Love the videos and props. What size cylinder and stroke did you use?
This one is a 3/4” with a 12” stroke. Thanks for the kind feedback, and good luck on your build.
When Spray painting the foam for the coals did you have to wait any amout of time to let thr Red paint Dry before you hit it with the Black Spray paint? Currently trying to make the coals myself and wasn't sure if I need to let the Red Spray Paint dry first.
Did them both almost immediately. Don’t think there is a wrong way to do it.
@@CyborgVlog Again, thanks so much for the response. I truly appreciate it. I finished the foam "coals" and used your video to make them and they turned out really good if I must say so myself...lol. So glad I found your channel
glad to hear your project turned out the way you wanted. That is always a good feeling 😊
I got one too (Medtronics). only think a fine stressful is my Annual Battery Check and they pace me at 90 , makes me feel sick during and after wobbly and have to go to the Bathroom (#2) . Have you ever heard any others have this happen ??? Thanks Jim Canada
I haven’t heard that before, but it did make me feel strange the first time the remotely increased my heart rate. I had anxiety during it for sure. Hopefully it was a one time occurrence. Best wishes.
@@CyborgVlog 2nd time wasn't as bad but still Wobbly. Hopefully the Device isn't defective. Nurse tried Breathing exercises and Calming before. I've notified the Doctors and Pacemaker clinic about this too. Maybe I should contact Medtronics ?! Thankyou.
@Luckey900 keep telling the doctor. It may need to have some settings adjusted. I was having rapid pacing sometimes because a default setting was causing a feedback loop. I convinced the dr to keep looking and they found a setting to change that fixed the issue. I hope they can try tuning it to make you more comfortable.
@@CyborgVlog My Family Doctor MD said he didn't know anything about Pacemakers ??? I told my Cardiologist about it, gave me a funny look but did say anything. Then at the 2nd Annual Device check I got a Different experienced RN Pacemaker Tech as I mentioned with the same result but not as severe ?! Looks like they go into "Damage Control" mode and seem to "Pass the Buck" to someone else with my problem and look at it as an Anxiety issue ?!
