I'll be honest it's been 2 years since I've played the clarinet and since I can't do marching band with my current instrument (oboe), I've had to go back to clarinet. I was squeaking a ton and honestly couldn't figure out why. Turns out I just didnt have enough mouthpiece. Thanks for the video! It helped a ton! :)

I had bought my clarinet since 2003 since then I had tried to learn clarinet several times but I had the same problem with the low notes the clarinet was squeaking

This helps sm because I have a performance in a few weeks and my fear is squeaking

I’m trying to play this song but every time I play this high note it squeaks and I check my fingers and covering the holes and that my reed it good but it still squeaks

I have 3 chips on my reed.

I’ve tried mostly everything but I only squeak on high C’s and high F’s. But it’s when going up to those notes I squeak and I can’t figure out why. I’ve changed reeds, I’ve readjusted my jaw, and I’ve worked with the ligature. But it only squeaks on high C’s and F’s, nothing else. I’m trying to keep a steady air flow as well.

This made me hate my clarinet a little less, thank you

When I play my high “A” it comes out squeaking and idk what to do.

Is a cello fixable?

My problem is with new reeds, even when I moisten it in my mouth for several minutes, it squeaks and it is hard to blow into the mouth piece.

I have had none of the problems mentioned in the video except for the mouthpiece, but it was working before. I was playing the clarinet and then it stopped working all of a sudden and that's where I've been for three days.

You could also put a mirror enfornt of you and when ever you sqauk you immedently stop and see whats wrong. You could also record you playing and watch the footage of when you squak

That was really helpful, I have been squeaking quite a bit on my clarinet,when originally I had been making beautiful sounds,I don't know why I was squeaking, but this really helped resolve the issue.
