One of my absolute favorite Sweet b sides. They showed the urge to prove they were a different band to their Chinichap penned A sides.

The original four is why they are my favourite band of all time. Brian is, was, and always will be The Sweet. The day he left / kicked out, whatever you may think was the day Sweet ended.

The Sweet, made me listen to them, to be honest because I didn't know them, my partner. What he didn't tell me was that those four guys are seriously addictive: you listen to them once... then you have to listen to them all the time. A great drummer and a kind-hearted being, when Andy and he were asked about the problem that arose following Brian's ouster from the band, there were two answers. Andy: 'We should have replaced him', Mick: 'We should have tried to do more to help him'. In one sentence all the depth of a person and what distinguishes a real man from a clown...May the eternal light shine upon him❤

Histrionic, likeable... he and Brian the two sides of the same coin of the Sweet: Brian was basically the serious, dramatic side, the sweetness and torment, with his ancient beauty of a medieval knight who has just taken off his helmet and is saddened by what he has seen. Steve was the jester, the court juggler, who knows that life is also bloody beautiful and you must also mock it and laugh, because to laugh is to survive. Now they are together again, with Mick, looking down on us and smiling❤
