Behind The Album - 68 - The One Who Remembers.
Bio:
Portland-based singer-songwriter Avery Hill released her sophomore full-length album,
The One Who Remembers, in November 2024. This album is a return to her roots as a
storyteller but reflects on more of her own personal stories than her previous work.
Dreams & Ghosts: A Family Album (2015), a collection of songs about her ancestors’ lives, received critical acclaim and ranked in the Top 10 on the Folk DJ charts. Tom May of River City Folk praised the album, stating, "This emerging singer-songwriter has a memorable, lilting voice and is already penning songs that could someday be classics. She is an extraordinary young talent.

the tether between the past and present, celebrating with little fanfare, but great meaning, the everyday objects and sounds that open the door to memory.
