The Fujifilm SM-R2 is SmartMedia's Pandora's Box
Imagine being able to use every single camera that uses SmartMedia today. Its possible with the SM-R2, even by simply hooking it up to a printer. Don't believe me? Just watch me do it!

All I wanted was a nice early digital for my collection. That was it! But, my curiosity caused me to spend money and go down the SmartMedia rabbit hole. Reddit said it was impossible, Fujifilm said otherwise.

Minolta Long Throw vs Short Throw Apertures
This is the super fun content you don’t see in TH-cam photography. Love the tour of this digital dinosaur
Sweet camera!
The Hi-Matic F is one of my favorites. I got mine for $15 had to rewire the battery terminal but it works great 📸
Do you have to have film in it for it to do that I’m new to cameras and mine does not do that
Nope. Set it to the red X or B and it will work without a battery being inserted. Red X is a mechanical backup of 1/100 second in case while using it your battery dies. If it still doesnt work there is an issue with the camera.
Leica is the worst brand. I met one of those rich buddies and they laughed at me for using an Sony.
Well, you can have some fun with them. Dr. Knut Kühn-Leitz himself said and I quote, "Mr. Tashima was a cosmopolitan, and therefore very concerned about the successful outcomes of international cooperation. He preferred -as he literally put it- the harmony of fierce competition. In my mind’s eye, I view Mr. Tashima as a wise, gentle, reserved and selfless man. To this day I sense his sincerity and his search for harmony. Much about his personality reminds me of my grandfather, who as a pioneer of small format photography was not just a great entrepreneur, but also a great human being like Kazuo Tashima." Part of a letter he wrote to the family of Kazuo Tashima founder of Minolta after he died. Leica snobs should research the history before opening their mouth. Sony has Minolta DNA in it which also has Leica DNA.
