Are you from South Africa?
@@mjohnson6703 I am , originally from Johannesburg
@ullithebully very nice! I spent a couple of years in SA. It seems a lot of South Africans move to Australia and the US.
@mjohnson6703 nice which part do you live in. Yeah , Aus has the closest similarities as SA and then parts of the US after that
@ullithebully 🇿🇦 I was there for church service, so I moved around a lot. I've lived in Polokwane, Protea Glen, Midrand, Alberton, and Tsakani. But that was all about a decade ago. So I am back in America. 🇺🇸
@mjohnson6703 nice "bru" glad to hear you got that experience
It looks like it makes it minimally larger... is it large enough that it makes a difference on softer portions of earth?
@UglyPotato83 yes it definitely helped alot on soft ground
Beautiful Fall colors. Thanks for sharing!
@robertculbertson3375 love this time of year for riding 🙏
love the time of year as the leaves turn but they're slicker than snot when damp. How's the DR on the highway? I mean the ability to travel at Interstate speeds 65-75mph? peace
@diggy-d8w it's most comfortable at 65 to 70 on the freeway since I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket
Ahh, telling me about that "Tooth" was the peal of wisdom I wanted. Thanks man, the DR650 is still on my list as I save me monies. peace

Put 2 Cots in there & it's a great 2 person space but in a bind 4 could do a might or so.... just so your weren't serving pork -n- beans to them? Thanks for the inside look, it really not too bad. IDKnow how many folks you would be caring for but 3-4 is the limit & I'm curious if you'd have this on a motorcycle since you ride? I like it although it may be too big to carry on a bike, it's still nice. peace

Man, I have been there & done THAT STUFF ~ doubt me not....lmao, I never wished myself upon them or visa versa but when ya start sharing you best be good mates? @bikerabbi you welcome, wish you many more great riding miles

@robertculbertson3375 thank you 🙏
What kind of jet size did you install? Greetings from Bulgaria
@Zakonite_Krum my mechanic installed it for me and I've totally forgotten what size he did , sorry about that
The 705s are garbage in the dirt. My front tire is always trying to wash out. Zero hook up with the rear. Good on pavement. I have them on my drz400sm. But not for much longer 😂
@JohnMatrixOfficial I mostly used them on forest service roads which they had no issues with but anything more than that and I struggled. Actually found them great on the road though.
You could just pop your tailgate up and have all your material hang over your cab. Or if it’s really long I’ve seen guys lay down 20’ pieces of steel then drive their truck over it. They then took a set of straps and strapped it to the front and back so it hung under the vehicle. Never had to do that myself because I just lower the tailgate and choke it in the middle so it’s both hanging over the cab and off the back. Just saying, there are ways to do it without buying that weird tarp strap nonsense. Just get better at strapping my dude.

@@KTMCraig470 I used racetech springs and emulators in the front fork and a Procycle rear spring.
@@ullithebully nice!
is this the new version for newer DRs?
@paulgoss7596 did not know there was an older version but it's the current one they sell online
How stable does the steering geometry feel on the highway? I have a stock DR650 and a Gen 3 KLR650 (100lbs heavier, touring windscreen, more rake, longer swingarm). The KLR650 feels much more planted and less twitchy, rickety on the road, especially at highway speed, but I like the lower weight and drivetrain of the DR. I can't tell if the extra weight from a larger tank and a windscreen would help the DR on road, and im cautious to invest money into the DR if it can't overcome those issues. Thoughts?
@mwl5 to me , mine feels stable at hwy cruising speed. Above 80 it starts to get light feeling, so I usually stay at about 75 , only going above 80 for short stints in passing situations etc. I feel very comfortable moving with the flow of the traffic. You bring up an interesting possibility that maybe my larger tank and windshield helped , that I'm not sure though as I didn't really test it on the hwy when it was stock. The windshield def helps in keeping the wind buffering off of you so that def at least gives you the sensation of more stability not having to fight the wind much. The windshield helped so much in eliminating my helmet fatigue from wind buffering
Just ordered one yesterday for my drz400 looks great 👍 👌 cant for mine to get here

Bike sounds like it is running about 50-100rpm low
@michaelhefford6420 carb kit and airbox mod have been done since this video, now it's running awesome
@@ullithebully yeah, opening up the exhaust only really changes the sound, nothing more. Adding more air and fuel is what makes the difference along with the more open exhaust. You’ll burn a bit more fuel, but it’s also much more fun to ride. I just have an adjustable needle in the carb and removed the snorkel with the stock exhaust and it is already much better. That’s about as much as I’ll be doing with it I think, at least for a couple years.

I ride a GSX-S1000 GT. Only 150 HP but still is plenty lively for me. I do not ride it aggressively. It cruises nicely at freeway speeds and is only just starting to hit the HP at 70 MPH in 6th. You don't need to ride it hard or fast to appreciate the potential and the occasional burst. That Kawasaki looks like a blast and the added 50 HP must yield a fantastic rush. Thanks for the video!
@ParallelCamper Rob Kawasaki has done a fantastic job with their bikes. I totally understand what you're saying about your GT. I was amazed at how smooth the power delivery was on this Zh2 , it was perfectly happy cruising and did not need to be ridden like a hooligan. A very well-mannered Godzilla indeed. Also so much fun when you did want tease the throttle a bit , instantly responsive no matter what gear I was in
I did not know it has a, "Suicide" mode..... lol, you know which one activates that mode don't ya? When that key slides into the ignition - "SUICIDE MODE" has been enacted..... I'm kidding, just a joke about a bike I'd decline to ride just b/c I don't need to be riding one. I'm glad you got the opportunity though, that was good enough here ! peace
@user-dv7hb2sc9m lol I totally understand that. I had 1000% respect for this godzilla of a bike. I was amazed how smooth it was , kawasaki did a awesome job with this one for sure 💪
Just making fun & the last bigger bike I rode was a Kz1000.... a long time ago but I'm now looking for a dual sport and I've got a list of 10-11 that I'm researching as I same my money. The info on them covers every MOD that each one of the bikes will need to get them the way I want & their cost. Having a post purchase list of all those bikes really gives me an advantage in the event I come across a used dual sport. I'll already know the mods I'll want so a used bike might have a lot of them meaning I can really get a decent price. Anyhoo, I've bent your ears & eyes enough. Thanks for posting this video, I have enjoyed it... peace

@@White_cow_story can't say that I did, I always felt pretty confident on these tires in the rain
Thank you for describing the power delivery with a jet kit and airbox mod, I’m curious now if there’s a considerable change in rpm since you felt like there was an extra gear since engine feels like it’s not working as hard without the mods, I can only imagine an rpm gauge on your dash. My 96 is all stock engine wise with comfort mods for whole day riding and it does feel like it’s working hard at 80 but can still go to 90 and the front is pretty light at that point that it feels like it will lift off any second 😁
Yeah I totally agree, mine felt similar before I did the jetkit and airbox mod. With the mods the engine is just able to work unrestricted
What are you digging for
