I think you are just as capable as I am and think you just need to keep practicing and youll suceed. Having a smaller wheel like the Inmotion v5f helps with riding backwards but I give you my tips and tricks on how to ride an EUC in reverse.

Are Beginner Electric Unicycles Worth It? Like The Inmotion V5f?
มุมมอง 15K4 ปีที่แล้ว
One of the main questions I see on the reddit unicycle page is people asking what wheel is best for them. It usually goes two ways. One side of the argument states that you should get a super fast and high performance wheel while the other side voices that getting something small like a Inmotion V5f is crucial. In this episode I talk about why I think having a beginner EUC is worth it coming fr...

Benefits of smaller euc: Easier to handle if you use it in combination with subway or buses to move around a city. Meanwhile in such situations a big battery, big wheel, and high speed are less necessary.

I bought a brand new v12ht two months ago and just a week ago I saw in news that the same one got on fire in russia. Nobody was hurt but the owner now has to compensate some property damage. That sucks to know the wheel from the most reliable manufacturer still can do that even though its a very rare case

The way that i learned to ride an inmotion v10f was by holding onto a basket (a shopping cart). after years of trying to ride a unicycle once in a while, and never being able to balance to any degree. the basket gave me the opportunity to get a feel for balancing, and it felt like my muscles were beginning to remember the feeling of balancing to some degree. after 1000 miles of holding onto a basket(many many many battery recharges of the euc), i was finally able to let go of the basket and continue to ride the euc for short distances. and as time progressed, greater and greater distances were achieved. i then repeated the exact same learning technique of holding onto a shopping cart, with learning to ride backwards. it took me approximately the same amount of time, 1000 miles in reverse while holding onto a shopping cart behind me, while i allowed my muscles to begin to remember the feeling of riding backwards. i’m not saying that this is the fastest way to learn. i am only saying that it was how i learned. i am now shopping for an electric unicycle with suspension and longer range. so many choices! its wonderful!

I definetly sturggle with the foot pain! Foot position definitely helped me a lot! 3D printed power pads even for my v8 was a lot of relief! Then I noticed my toes were mostly just cold so bigger thicker socks and better foot wear in general! Next up are spiked foot pads

Would suspensions make a difference? I ride a suspension escooter to aid in knee pain, i didn’t think of feet bottoms. Suspension helped me bigtime as opposed to my nephew on a non-suspension escooter complaining.

I commute up and down hills on a V8f for about 25 min straight 5 days a week. Usual Thursday and Friday I have to get off and walk 1 block to get my feet refreshed. (It's also cold like 45' F and I'm probably bracing as well as shivering)

Eucs are hella dangerous bruh! Compared it to a motorcycle its 3x more dangerous!!!! They're 3x smaller so harder to see you coming, one issue be it software or hardware the wheel will shutoff sending you to the ground no matter if you're going 3mph or 50 mph unlike motocycles or cars which just slow down. Speed wobbles on motorcycles are a issue with 2 wheels but with euc its worse.

Holy cow! You are completely full of crap! Did you even listen to this guy? Or maybe you have no experience so you don't know what he's talking about. When I say experience I'm talking about motorcycles and bicycles and skate boards and surfboards and hang gliders and everything else.

  • @pacochawa2746
    @pacochawa2746 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I agree with crashing, most motorcycle riders get their balls amputated in crashes. Euc comunity are still having plenty babies I hope! By the way studies show eye contact with car drivers has no effect. They might be looking your direction but they dont see you, they are looking for cars and do not register anything else. Look it up in motorcycle driver hand book. Ive had those fuckers come at me many times even more on eucs.

It's good wheel, everything depends how far you want to go. This isn't the wheel for a long trip, because pedals are small so time to time you need to make a few minutes break because of feet pain ( i make them every 6km). I weight 91kg and the range is about 20km in summer (between 15-30C) and less than 16km in winter ( when temperature is below 10C). My girlfriend is 65kg and she can easily run on a single charge 25km on summer. The 25km/h speed limit isn't such a big problem because the wheel is 84v so you can run maximum speed for a quite long time (about 40% battery level). But if the price would be simillar maybe 100$ more i would go V8 or V8f. I wouldn't choose 67v wheel. Let me explain why. I also have ninebot one S2 which is similar wheel with inmotion v5f. Both has 500w engine, 320wh battery but because of lower voltage it has signically less range than Inmotion (17km on summer and 13km on winter). Ninebot is also slower even if both wheels have the same maximum top speed 25km/h, on the ninebot below 50% you won't get maximum speed and below 25% battery level you are able to get only 15km/h when on Inmotion you can go with 20km/h. I Hope this will help you.

The footplates has screws underneath the grip-paper, which can be easily replaced with tall-headed screws to serve as DIY spikes. Makes the snow much, much less of a problem.

Considering your inward knee position, you might be flat feeted. Do exercises for that and see if it helps. I had foot pain the first couple of weeks, but it went away over time. I also made spikes on my pedals and that helped a lot for some reason..

I bet you've never ridden a motorcycle in your life. Just a dork with a unicycle. That's why you're telling people nonsense. These things are dangerous as hell. A crash just going 30 mph can really mess you up. I literally just got done reading a post about someone crashing at 30 mph and breaking a rib... By the way, these things are destroying your knees and you don't even realize it. You all will when you hit 40. 🤦

I know some "only big wheels guys", riding wheels since many years. The only thing they can do, is going far and fast. They are amazed I can ride backward very well, doing figures, and I'm still a beginner. They can't do that. After only a couple of weeks, I can do much more tricks. I have already 3 wheels since my start 2 months ago. My small one is still very important to pratice tricks, to learn them quickly, and after to try them also on the bigger wheels. Start small and pratice a lot, is the best advice I could give.

That was not bad advice at all.. especially that smartwatch thing! 👌 ..you have me contemplating getting this outrageous smartwatch I once saw that is basically a smartphone. Like a legitimate one.. app store, sim card card all that stuff. It was cool as hell, but I never really saw a need for it like I do now. But I can see it being EXTREMELY helpful to have my EUCs app on my wrist to tell me my speed and whatnot
