Our aim is to bring glory to God by praising His name, preaching His Word, praying together, proclaiming the good news of Christ, and practicing the "one anothers" of Scripture.

❤
Loved that! thank you for posting these here!
That church resembles Trinity Lutheran Church that his parents belonged to in his hometown of Wausau, WI.
Pastor Dave hit it out of the park!!❤
WOW! Powerful Truth. So many of us needed this message. I will be sharing. Thankyou so much. God bless you.
New listener, enjoyed this lesson. Thank you Jesus
Thanks for sharing this message. It is a clear presentation. Good teaching based on God's word. The humility of Christ is seen. I have been in ministry for more than 30 years (Quebec, Canada). Been reading more on this theme. Ji Packer A. Begg. Thanks! May the Lord continue to grant you insight to share with His people.
One more thing, since I have done my homework and gone back into Hebrews... See ch 10. What was done away with was the old sacrificial system. Not the law. Our sin was nailed. Not the law. In fact, the law is now written on our hearts or should be if we are a new creation. Praise be to God for the sacrifice that was and is able to cleanse us from our sins once and forever! When He returns He will not come again to deal with our sin but will come to bring salvation to those who eagerly wait for Him.
Hi Charles. I look forward to next week's message. Thank you for walking us through the Torah. I believe what you say regarding doing worship Gods way. This is why I have been struggling lately. I don't see anywhere in scripture where the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday. I have many reasons for this and all are scriptural. Also, the Catholic Church is clear that it is by their authority that the solemnity of the Sabbath was changed from Sat to Sunday... And we are really just daughters of that church. I am not SDA. Just want to do His will according to His Word and I don't think practice is separate from principle here. This also applies to the Feasts. I don't see why we do away with them but then take on evergreen trees, mistletoe, and cookies for Santa. I could really use some help with this.
Well done! Praise be to God!
Good teaching blessing
Another excellent message! Thank you!
Amen, Amen. Can't be there today, missing everyone.❤️ Thank you for bringing the Gospel and truth in such a time as this.
I would like to see/hear the 49 list you have of some of the promises you gathered❣
Here is the list I composed. It is by no means exhaustive, as I am sure you will immediately think of others. These came to mind as I began to write. I would highly recommend that you compose your own list. I write them down to help cement them in my mind so that I can meditate on them later. The list originally had no numbers; they were simply handwritten one per line. 1. Jesus is coming again (Jn. 14:3) 2. His grace is sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9) 3. I am more than a conqueror through Him who loves me (Rom. 8:37) 4. God will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I am able (1 Cor. 10:13) 5. He will never leave me or forsake me (Heb. 13:5) 6. God will by no means leave the guilty unpunished (Ex. 34:7) 17. The Lord is slow to anger (Num. 14:18 and others) 18. I am being transformed into the image of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18) 19. I will be like Him for I shall see Him as He is (1 Jn. 3:2) 20. I have the Holy Spirit as an earnest of my inheritance (Eph. 1:14) 21. I have been sealed with the Spirit of promise (Eph. 1:13) 22. Thank you!
I agree that Haagen Dazs is the best ice cream on the planet! :-)
Love the way that you handled these questions in context and at all the discussions and then both Mary and I mentioned that Charles and Dave aren't 6 feet from each other! xo xo xo
Psalm 37 notes anxiety vs. trust God life is a fight of faith particular type of fretting common in our day: when wicked seem to prosper maturity in christian life marked by a growing stability preliminary remarks: psalm of David, wisdom psalm psalm addressed to congregation, people alphabetic acrostic, so no simple way of outlining it psalm of contrast: wicked vs. righteous David trying to shape our worldview other similar psalms: 73, 49 Q: how should we respond when evil flourishes around us? point/conclusion: when you see the prosperity of the wicked, don't be frustrated; it will not be this way forever, you need to trust the Lord who will ultimately deliver his people and bless them three general principles with two key concepts each: 1) let your heart manifest quiet composure (v.1-8) - key concept #1: do not fret (v.1,7,8) fret literally=do not burn, kindled with anger; consumed, agitated, don't fume/sethe don't let it get the best of you, don't blow your top, simmer down anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God - key concept #2: trust the Lord (v.3,5,7) be silent, still, trust God, wait patiently for him v.3 cultivate faithfulness: feed on his faithfulness v.5 commit your way to the Lord: roll our way to him let God rule his universe [basketball divine sport, soccer diabolical? can't use hands, extra time] you are not the ref, God is; he determines when game ends you're impatience is impertinence Q: do you envy the wrongdoer? are you jealous? (v.1) let your heart be quite and composed 2) let our eyes maintain a distant gaze (v.9-22) look beyond immediate circumstances of our world, and consider instead what God is doing over the long haul; telescopic view of life 2 Corinthians 4:18 - key concept #1: evildoers will be cut off (v.9,22,28,38) don't be envious of them, their success; don't be resentful v.2 they will wither, fade v.10 in a little while wicked will be no more v.13 Lord is laughing at wicked v.14,15 your sins will find you out; you reap what you sow v.20 wicked will perish; they vanish v.22 they will be cursed [titanic example; people on docks envious of those with ticket] we know in advance, don't be envious of wicked psalm 73 v.3,16-17 was envious of wicked, came into house of God, remembered their end - key concept #2: the humble will inherit the land (v.9,11,22,29,34) Jesus in sermon on the mount: blessed are the meek, they shall inherit the earth tables are going to be turned; Christ will reign; inheritance is certain; it will be in his timing our sufferings will not last; wrongs endured will be made right we must be forward-thinking, have the long view 3) let your mind meditate upon the faithfulness of God (v.23-33) - key concept #1: David has not seen righteous forsaken (v.25); his personal observation Q: have you seen the righteous forsaken, begging bread? God is faithful, God supplies; God cares for us enough & provide for needs every bite and every breath comes from the Lord God will supply, he has always supplied; we will trust him v.26 God's people become a resource for those in need - key concept #2: you will abide forever (v.27) delayed gratification: less now, glorious future eternity is a long time to be right, blessed v.34-40 summary statement - key concept #1: transgressors will be altogether destroyed (v.34-36) v.10 wicked will be no more Proverbs 29:16 v.38 wicked will be cut off - key concept #2: Lord is our helper, deliverer, savior, refuge (v.34,37,39,40) Q: how do we live effectively, godly, in this present evil age? we live a life of calm, confident composure, trusting in God; must have eyes to see the horizon; we rest in the faithfulness, goodness, abundance of God who cares for us and will deliver us in the end
Great message!
Ministry is a mercy! Great reminder!
