Hey, did you have to bring your own firewood or is wood a available on the island?

My family and I are planning to go camping but we don't know where to go. I was wondering if this place lets you camp right on the beach and park your car right next to the camping tent . also do you know if camp fire is allowed? Thanks

Did you actually walk the trail, and if so did you come from Newport into Havelock or the other way? I believe it is around 22 miles which is not that far.
