UNFICYP ...forces on Cyprus. We Cypriots, thank you guys , for your support, still even today , 2024 , ( for 60 years now ) Unfortunately , Cyprus ,and even with its independence, wasn't meant to survive in peaceful times.

That's right around the time I went there for my first time (age four), summer '72. (Haven't been able to spot myself so far.) It's nice to see Disneyland from that year.
Virginia City as depicted in BONANZA looks nothing like the real VC which is mainly built on a hillside, one street above another. I always like when Ben sends Hoss to VC to fetch the sheriff, probably a day's ride on horseback up a steep mountain. Most or all of the Ponderosa was in Douglas County with Carson City just to the north of the ranch. VC is in Storey County. Wrong county, wrong sheriff!
Besserwisser! Oscar Ryden, the Blacksmith in Virginia City, for over 60 years, was my grandma's brother! The Sheriff of Storey County used to be my friend back in the 70s! I have been to Virginia City al least 25 times and I know where it is at! If you have a problem with the Video: "Don't Watch it Again"!
Your reading this wrong. My issue is with the way the town was depicted in the TV series from a historical perspective. I love VC and your video was great. have visited VC many times.@@stigbjorklund
This is interesting. I remember getting to visit the Pondarosa Ranch near Incline Village back in the late 90s, and it was a lot of fun. Very pretty country out there. I still have some of the stuff I bought at the gift shop there. I also remember visiting Virginia City back in the late 80s, which is a really cool place. So much history in that area and a lot of really cool spots like Genoa.

The REGENT STAR was a real classic cruise ship. I'm glad you got to sail on her. I think she was a former Holland America Line ship STATENDAM.
